Though I don’t feel like writing My LISTNERDS Weekly Report, I still have to push myself. I actually just finished sending my first Solo Mail after two months and thirteen days of accumulating a total of 15,000 MAIL tokens. This is the required number of MAIL for a free account to be able to send a Solo Mail.

The email I sent on ListNerds is about the story of my family’s accounts playing Splinterlands during our 18th and 19th seasons.

Yesterday, I claimed a total of 81.565 LISTNERDS:

Such a number came from my verified email sent last 13 May equivalent to 66.076 and my daily staking rewards of 15.489. This time, though the voting score is higher, the amount of LISTNERDS I received is significantly lower.

As you can see, compared to my previous score, the 13 May email is 5.828 higher, but the LISTNERDS I received is 42.951 points lower. Though I struggle to understand the mathematics of it, I think this statement provides the explanation:

“Every time your sent mail gets verified, you will earn a portion of the total rewards pool. Your active portion is based on the number of verified mails that you send versus the total verified mails.” Source

I was mistaken in my earlier interpretation. I thought the goal of the new change in vote value aims for wider distribution of the token. After two weeks of observation, it appears that a higher voting score does not automatically result in more LISTNERDS rewards. It may actually have a reversed effect just like what happened in my last email. Nevertheless, since the platform is young, perhaps a lot of experimentation is being tested to find the mechanism that will work for the long-term sustainability of LISTNERDS tokenomics, and I am fine with that rather than a system that gives higher rewards but is short-lived.

Despite the lower rewards, my total staked LISTNERDS increased by 23.92% from 719.818 last week to 892.025 today. This is still remarkable growth knowing the fact that the current sentiment in the crypto market is one of negativity.

I am still maintaining my optimism that even with the impact of the current change in voting value, by the end of the month I will reach my 1,000 goal.

Grace and peace!
