The many qualifications you mentioned to identify true decentralization seem easy to understand now. Putting all these complicated ideas together in a comprehensible and readable manner requires familiarity and deep insights into the subject matter. In fact, in my more or less a year of staying on Hive, I stumbled here and there on the many issues you touched on: the kind of protocol to achieve faster decentralization, the impossibility of perfect decentralization, diminishing influence of founders and creators, forking as last resort, dealing with bad actors, coin distribution, the constant change among block producers, the need for more developers, the role of layer 2, the importance of engagement and participation, the advantages in participating and building on layer 1, and others.
