The belief was that encryption posed a threat in that the government would not be able to see what was going on. Of course, this was only applicable to the general public. The government felt encryption was perfectly acceptable for it to use.

Another example of a double standard. One law for me and another for Thee. Nice civil government! Keep up the "good work!"

How many people discuss the tenets of decentralization, freedom, censorship resistant, and sovereignty. Instead, we have people who get depressed if we have a bear market.

Many are not really concerned with those four ideals. It is all about the money.

The governments are threatened . . .

If both the bureaucrats and politicians feel such a threat, that to me is a mark of a healthy society.
