Summary Of The Weekend Engagement

For the past weekend Sam-hangout engagement here at hive naija community, it was a great one even though we didn't have as much as engagement as we use to but then we shared ideas of how we can make the engagement more fun and better.

In the concluded engagement hangout, we had over 200+ comments which is an improvement from the last one which was 100+. To everyone that showed up @mrenglish @kilvnrex @princessbusayo @hopestylist @ijohnsen @wongi @adoore-eu @kingsleyy and @etorobong who participated fully in the hangout, we want to say a big thank you for showing up and we so hope to see you all this coming weekend also. And for others that also participated partially, @stevenson7 @emreal @moremoney28 @quduus1 @cescajove @nkemakonam89 @adaezeinchrist @cleevesh @balikis95 @cheeamaka and @itohowo we are grateful for your presence also. We look forward to seeing you all next week and many more persons also.

We discussed *"A BETTER HANGOUT" it was a great discussion, most people shared their thoughts on how to make an hangout work better and also ways to achieve our aims as a team. We got different suggestions from a total of seven persons.

The summary of their suggestions

Some persons suggested that...

• Stating the aims and objectives is very important.
• Rewards should be based on merit.
• Topics affecting us should be discussed more.
• Sponsorship should be encouraged.
• Everyone who participates in the hangout should be acknowledged.
• Everyone should be carried along especially through engaging them in tasks.
• The organizers should try to visit those attending the hangout to encourage and remind them.
• Weekly topics discussed and winners should be delegated to different people (this can be the task)
• A poll can be initiated to choose randomly the persons to handle each task and the topics too.
• People should be encouraged to suggest topics for discussion.
• Games should be introduced (discord channel recommended also).
• The hangout should be in a day and should also be held on discord too alongside the hangout on hive.

We actually got some persons joining us for the first time and I want to encourage us to keep up the good work of telling those of our brethren that are yet to know about the hangout, remember it happens here every weekend. Once again, Thanks to everyone that participated and shared their interesting responses with us, I want to say everyone did really well to express their thoughts and opinions in a very engaging way and it was so beautiful to read through and that has made us get better over time.

As we all know, we will always have a winner and this winners were selected based on their amazing contributions to the discussion and their constant engagement during the hangout.
