Goodbye 2021, Welcome 2022
I truly believe we can either see the connections, celebrate them, and express gratitude for our blessings, or we can see life as a string of coincidences that have no meaning or connection. For me, I'm going to believe in miracles, celebrate life, rejoice in the views of eternity, and hope my choices will create a positive ripple effect in the lives of others. This is my choice.

I really had a fierce debate whether to write this article or not. Maybe because I don't know where to start from or because i don't know how I'm going to write it. Just like Mike Ericksen, I've chosen to write from my heart and give gratitude for everything.
My 2021 was crazy, I almost lost my mum and I stopped active chess even before I began. I had always say when I finish the university, I'm going to play alot of tournaments. I guess, I was naive to everything life had in store for me. God saved my mom's life, And better still, I was given an opportunity in Hive.
I left steemit almost immediately after I joined because it was difficult, I did create some chess contents but i barely got anything out of it. Returning back here I've found everything. Name it! The hive Blockchain has provided a family, source of income & even a way to widen my knowledge as i learn everyday.
4 Months Of Pure Happiness
And i have some people that has made it possible
It all started with chess, I came back via a link to play #hivechess. I'm grateful to the leaders of the chess community. @schamangerbert, @stayoutofherz & @jaki01. They have given me alot of reasons to be passionate about promoting chess on hive. I've always wanted to have a chess channel,Promote chess, have fun and still have the strength to repeat it again. It has been possible with their help, I started recording my chess games with my phone back then on steem, very poor.

I posted my videos on YouTube and got nothing, but these leaders supported me the way they could then.
Now Hivechess Is Bigger & Stronger!
An improved me returned, However, i still lacked in quality, but with their support and also from the @threespeak team, I was able to better my equipments.

Newbies Initiative.
I'm grateful also to the founders of this beautiful initiative that helps newbies on hive. Yes! I have an old account, However, I barely new what Rc meant neither did I understand how delegation works. With this initiative and the tasks given, I was able to navigate my way on hive. Thank you @starstrings01 , @eddiespino & @projectmamabg. I hope i didn't trouble you too much

I can't write an appreciation post without her. I'm a 4 months old child, And she's my Hive Mother. I appreciate everything she has done for me, There is one in particular I'd never forget. I once posted an article that didn't belong to me, Although i wasn't spammed out of hive, I was emotionally disturbed, I felt really bad and sad for weeks. She was with me at every point in time. She taught me how to be stronger, how to be creative and brought out a better me. Thank you dreemy!
The Terminal
I can't remember how i stumbled my way into @theterminal, but I'm glad i did. It was there i learnt alot about hive and creating contents. @jamesrussell taught me sourcing, infact ever since then, I derive joy in sourcing, taking permissions for images and also explaining them. @thekittygirl & @brittandjosie are always there to answer any question at any time.
When it comes to fun and jokes, I enjoy their company, My captains @stayten & @wesphilbin are fun to be with and I appreciate them
My Favourite Authors
I enjoyed @macchiata , she took me places I've never been, I enjoyed her travels, I made sure i don't miss it. Thank you. @edprivat makes music looks so easy, He's a great content creator. @dmilliz might be far from Nigeria but he seems so near with the way he relates and with his posts, he's someone i look up to. I can't talk about Authors without mentioning @edicted. I wonder how he does it, His contents always explain everything and i mean everything. He is a great author I really admire and appreciate.
Moving Forward In 2022
I'd continue to be active on Hive and help add value. I have some projects/Initiatives I've started and i hope to continue them.

Connecting To Nigerians On Hive
I started a engagement chat for Nigerians to connect with each other, It's been great and i expect it to get better and better. I appreciate every Nigerian that has taken their time to get involved with the initiative.
