"History teaches us that unity is strength, and cautions us to submerge and overcome our differences in the quest for common goals, to strive, with all our combined strength, for the path to true African brotherhood and unity.” •Haile Selassie

Summary Of The Weekend Engagement

The 8th hive-naija weekend engagement kicked off on friday(January 21st,2022) and ended on Sunday(January 23rd,2022) 11:59pm (GMT+1). It was an interesting chat as we gather together for the eighth week running to gist and chat together as a family

The topic was "Blockchain Gaming On Hive"

It was an interesting weekend as we talked about our favourite Blockchain games. We explained to each other why we play these games and also why we love them. We focused our discussions on these questions;

What do you think about Blockchain Games?

Which do you play and How good are you?

Why don't you play? How expensive is it to play?

Heard of Ragnarok, what do you think about it?

We had over 250+ comments as we got back our "top performing post of the day" badge from @hivebuzz. We once again raised our voices and lifted the flag here on hive

As usual,I bring to you some warm and intresting comments from the engagement.

@young-boss-karin says;

I started gaming 2 years ago. I just stumbled on a Splinterlands post made by @belemo and I got intrigued so I went ahead to check it out. I started playing the trial battles and I loved the energy. See, for a first-time gamer, the Splinterlands battle songs and all that noise brought a lot of adrenalin to my brain. I played around, then I told my brother about it and he got me a spellbook. Then he wrote about it on Twitter and one of his friends gifted me and him untamed packs. I had a lot of help from him in the beginning and up until now. Then he would gift me cards, packs, delegate cards for me to kick ass and sometimes dash me DEC to buy packs to help me qualify for airdrops. In the beginning, I played for the love of the game. Once you understand it it's easy to get addicted to the wins and losses. After a while, I stopped playing and that's when my deck made a 2,000% turn around and I became a Splinterands OG. Now, I don't play. I just rent out my cards and take part in fun activities like the current Chaos league sales. I also help and give counsel to people when they need help. I suck at playing the game right now coz they kick it ass too much but I know enough of the basics to get anyone started.

I hope I do better with @ragnarok.game and @psyberx when they launch. I can't continue to be standing by and watching others make some dope cash in blockchain gaming.

@jaydr says

I think the block chain gaming is cool for fun and to earn a passive income, I had started playing splinterland, rabona and rising star and dcrops, but I m currently a bit more busier and only having time for rabona. Its like easier to check and the real hive rewards it brings dey sempele body small small. Not to say others don't pay o. They do in their own ways. Having assets and creating a passion and time for them is what works for them, especially splinterland. Ragnarok.. I m really hoping its a bit more cool than SL, I love physical games.. Car race, wrestling ,soccer. Shooting..
