Remember those days when GameStop and AMC stock was pumped from groups of traders? Back then, AMC theaters announced it had secured new financing, who knows if the stock pump helped for that.

AMC, at least, has specific reasons for optimism. This week it announced that it had secured new financing that would allow it to avoid bankruptcy and stay in business well into 2021. “Today, the sun is shining on AMC,” CEO Adam Aron said.

In a recent move, the company announced it would start accepting Bitcoin and yesterday Adam Aron announced the theaters will accept Ethereum, Litecoin, and Bitcoin cash on top of Bitcoin before the end of this year.

.

Although this week we saw how the fake rumor of Wallmart accepting Litecoin pushed and quickly dumped the coin, there are more and more companies jumping into the crypto acceptance wagon, Twitter just announced it will allow Bitcoin tipping in its service.

I presume not many users will use crypto to pay for their movie tickets, but this movement brings crypto to the masses and shows them how crypto is closer and closer to a daily reality besides only a financial investment game for some.

We still have to see when big companies as Amazon will start accepting crypto in their services but right now we can be sure it is not a matter of "if" but a matter of "when".
