Writing on Hive Vs writing on Google's Blogger

If you are a blogger who started early, you must have heard of Google's blogger platform. With a gmail account, you can start your own blog. As simple as that but there's more to it.

It may seem glamorous and all but as you proceed, you will realize that it is a centralized platform, and with all the hard work you put in to get your blog to be noticed even or to get even one comment from a reader to know that it is at least being read by a real person.

I used to have a blog and was very active and then one day I did get a mail from Google about my approved AdSense account and I was very happy. Too soon. Eventually, they sent an email saying I had very little traffic not that they lost anything by letting the ads be live but that is how Google works. Now they are doing just the opposite by inserting ads on youtube videos of people who have a large following but are doing it for nonprofits like Sandeep Maheswary. I came to know of it after reading his letter to Google.

It is true that blogger makes you feel that it is your own space and that you are free to write just about anything you like or insert any number of ads and stuff but it is still being controlled by a third party who can drop the Sword anytime.

Writing on Hive

Now, when you come to Hive and its related apps. you will be astounded to learn that we have a vibrant, living, breathing 24/7 community that are ready to interact, advise, lead and guide you to financial freedom. The more hard work you put in, the more rewarding the experience will be.

Just a day ago, a lady dm'd me that her blog was not 'voted' by anybody. People expect huge votes on their blogs without lifting an 'eyelid'. It is not like that. A few months ago or maybe it is a year that a man sort of teased me that I was always present on discord and Hive and that I didn't have any chores to do and to his consternation, I am playing splinterlands too, lol. I answered him and thankfully, Mr.Dragon advised me that it was best to ignore the guy which I did.

The point is, people may poke you or irritate you or just try to work you up but it is best to remain cool and be unruffled because that is the way to success.

How to be successful on Hive

• write quality posts that actually deliver
• source the images and references
• interact
• be active on discord groups linked to Hive and Element if on Neoxian
• do proper research and do not copy-paste
• do a little hard work and it can go a long way

Also, remember that Hive is the only coin that can withstand the tempests in the crypto storms.
