When I read the blogpost @l337m45732 about how he helped his Dad to stake CUB, I was touched. I don't think there's a more beautiful way when two generations can be connected through crypto and DeFi. DeFi is so much more than just cold-blooded strategizing and calculation, it can strengthen family bonds and unfold parental love in a special new way. This got me thinking so much that I immediately wanted to convert my idle LEO to CUB. Since neither the leasing options nor the traditional staking and curation options were attractive enough for me, I decided to convert my LEO into bLEO first, which the BEP20 LEO gateway site enabled.

Step-by-step explanation shown here, but my bLEO just didn’t appear in my Metamask wallet, I tried to type in different addresses until I got the hang of it

Visit the BSCscan site and look up the amount you transferred from LEO to bLEO in the quantity section [see 1]

Troubleshooting 1: To find your specific contract address, in the column of your transaction click on "Txn Hash" [see 2] to display the details of your transaction.

In the column "Interacted With (To):" [see 3] you will finally find your address which you insert within your wallet section "Custom Token" under "Token Contract Address", your bLEO balance should appear in your Metamask wallet.

If you’re familiar with Splinterlands let me know if this post is still up-to-date and whether you could save some transaction costs by choosing a different path:

From bLEO to CUB

As several pages got updated the step-by-step tutorials here are not up-to-date anymore. One would assume it should be far easier now with 2 or 3 clicks by just adding one’s wallet address on the main page here, but of course we need to convert our bLEO into CUB first, explained in this blogpost:

Ever wondered whether your first few LEO/bLEO transactions went through, you can look them also up on the Hive Engine section of your peakd wallet.

I thought hey let’s go through the kingdom or the trade/exchange section for conversion, I even read this blogpost how to manage the custom bLEO token, but nothing worked for me via pancake swap.

Troubleshooting 2: At this point we understand why it was so important that our bLEO balance would show up correctly in our Metamask wallet to just make an easy bLEO/CUB swap.

Don’t forget to have some BNB as small gas fee for this swap at hand. Not until then you can provide your CUB as liquidity in the kingdoms.
