Hello everyone in the Splinterverse, hope you all are enjoying the battles in Splinterland. It's time for another weekly battle challenge and I am so happy to see the theme of dragons again. It should be my third time of writing on Dragon Monsters, and, I would like to show some special strategy on my dragon combnation which is my all time favorite in trample rule set. Let's move on and don't forget to have fun reviewing the battle and enjoy the new giveaway!!

About DESERT DRAGON

The Desert Dragon is most commonly found east of the Jade Thickett, on the sandy plains of the Ixzoc. Its long neck is banded red and black, with savage horns that sprout from its head and vicious fangs more wicked than scimitars that line its jaws. Quite often assumed as a lumbering, flightless giant with wings that are tattered and torn, many make the mistake that it cannot move quickly and will sometimes stray too close.

If I have to give a list of rating on dragon monster that I am in favorite of, the DESERT DRAGON would definitely on the top of the list. It is because that the combination of abilities would be perfectly matched with the melee monster. Like what we show below. Trample works well with Piercing, and the retaliate and giant killer is the bonus of killing heavy cost monsters. Let's move on and see what my DESERT DRAGON done to my enemy with no mercy!!! I can't wait to show you the neat and god damn satisfying battle.

The Battle Rules

25 Mana Cost HEAVY HITTERS: All Monsters have the Knock Out ability. STAMPEDE: The Trample ability can trigger multiple times per attack if the trampled Monster is killed.

My Team

It is a mid level mana battle for 4 elements and today my focus is exactly the dragon elements. So that I rent some maxed dragons and some low cost water monsters. And this is exactly the battle what I am looking for. Kinda low cost mana battle with both dragon and water elements. So that I went for some inspire buff to utilize the rule-set of trample.

The Lineup

Summoner

The CAMILA SUNGAZER is a pretty useful dragon summoner that share the same use with ZINTAR MORTALIS in death element. But, the distinction between each other is that my CAMILA SUNGAZER gives me more freedom on picking elements due to the nature of dragon element while costing 3 mana cost for each. Reducing the melee damage is pretty useful in some times, however, I pick my CAMILA SUNGAZER as my summoner is purely based on the concern of mana cost in this battle. It is because that I expect my enemy will use some melee monsters.

Front Row

The DESERT DRAGON is a good front tank since the combination of abilities would be perfectly matched with the melee monster. Like what we show below. Trample works well with Piercing, and the retaliate and giant killer is the bonus of killing heavy cost monsters. Let's move on and see what my DESERT DRAGON done to my enemy with no mercy!!!

Second

The FLYING SQUID is a good one to debuff the enemies with Blind ability to have a miss on attack. Basically, the stat of FLYING SQUID is pretty balanced as a role of melee monster. 7 mana cost for 10 health and 5 speed with 3 damage is pretty decent in some sense.

Third

The MERDAALI GUARDIAN is also one of the cancer cards that with both repair and healing ability for you team. And the most important point is that it only costs 3 mana with that much useful abilities once you get it to level 5. As a result, it should be classified as a must-have card in your water collection.

Fourth

The PIRATE CAPTAIN serves a purpose of buff my team with the inspire ability, mainly for my front tank DESERT DRAGON. Keep in mind that all my cards are aimed to help my DESERT DRAGON to trigger the infinity trample once it starts killing enemies. The best CP ratio for your PIRATE CAPTAIN is definitely level 6 for it since you get the inspire buff for 3 mana cost.

Fifth

The NAGA ASSASSIN is also a buff card to increase the speed of my team in order to attack first and trigger the trample as early as possible since the DESERT DRAGON should be regarded as a fragile front tank with only 7 health.

Last

The TORRENT FIEND acts like a shield for my team to protect my NAGA ASSASSIN in case there are any sneak monster to attack my back. As a result, the 0 mana cost card is always a best option if you have a slot in your team but with no more mana.

Battle Result

This one was easy peasy since I just did a cancer trick with infinity trample under the rule-set. And my DESERT DRAGON finished them all in just one round with retaliate ability after been attacked by Grund.

Considering my strategy, I mainly focus on trample ability with the combination of DESERT DRAGON. Plus, the monsters are all low in health even with health so that my DESERT DRAGON could keep trampling. Overall, my set-up and strategy in this battle worked well and just make me a win.

Recap of reward card statistics

Overall, the minting speed of reward becomes much slower for no reason maybe the lost of active players or bot farms. Anyways, we will get there one day and embrace another stonk in Splinterland assets.
