Sup folks, here we go again. We just have the starter card update in past few days and the battle reward increased a lot. Happy hunting and battling, everyone. And today, I would like to share an epic battle about CRUEL SETHROPOD, don't forget to have fun watching the battle and enjoy the new giveaway!!

The Battle Rules

20 Mana Cost HEALED OUT: All healing abilities are removed from Monsters and Summoners. LOST MAGIC: Monsters with Magic attack may not be used in battles.

My Team

It is a low mana game which means that I have to utilize all the mana space for me in the battle by picking those high hp monsters with decent damage. As a result, under the lost magic rule-set, I pick the water deck since they are protected by shields with KELYA FRENDUL.

The Lineup

Summoner

The KELYA FRENDUL is an excellent water summoner in Chaos Edition which provides 1 speed and 1 shield for all monsters. It is totally different from last meta of Magic water team. The new meta of water has switch to melee-oriented recently with the existence of KELYA FRENDUL.

Front Row

The CRUEL SETHROPOD is really a low-mana tank in your water deck. My level 6 CRUEL SETHROPOD has 5 shields and hp with only 3 mana cost, which is definitely a good choice under low cost situation. Although it is not that powerful than DIEMONSHARK, it is still a good front tank to protect monster behind. With the increase level, the efficiency of CRUEL SETHROPOD becomes better since it will be more tanky. And my suggest level for it is level 6 with decent efficiency while not costing you too much.

Second

The TORRENT FIEND is always your good friend in battle since it is a 0 mana monster as a lure/shield to protect your team. Specifically, under the lost magic rule-set, only melee and range monster are allowed which means that my TORRENT FIEND can tank at least 2 hits which is pretty cool and decent.

Third

The SABRE SHARK is an old edition version of PELACOR BANDIT, but more expensive due to the scarcity and total bcx issue. Actually they two share the same purpose of same function with sneak ability and high attack. Still, the PELACOR BANDIT is even more powerful with flying ability when they both come to the max level.

Fourth

The FEASTING SEAWEED is also an mini water assassin that shares the same use with DEEPLURKER. However, it is cheaper in mana cost but with lower health which makes it extremely fragile and easy to die. So that we do the combo with KELYA FRENDUL or VENARI WAVESMITH to provide shield for it. More importantly, it becomes a beast at level 6 with the Scavenger ability while killing enemy monsters. The increasing hp of FEASTING SEAWEED is a cherry on the top during battle.

Fifth

PIRATE CAPTAIN is a good supportive monster with inspire ability in your team while you decide to play melee monsters. The highlight is that your PIRATE CAPTAIN only cost 3 mana to provide the inspire ability. Compare to RIVER HELLONDALE or DEMENTED SHARK, the cost is much lower and cheaper. Do consider to put it into your line-up if you have him level 6 or above.

Last

The PELACOR BANDIT is my favorite current edition reward card since it will become a beast and dodge master when you max it. Decent damage, high speed, sneak ability and flying ability while costing 3 mana. What else you can find such efficiency in your monsters. It is definitely a focus for me to build up and grab as much as possible.

Battle Result

Easy Peasy. It is almost a home run for me and I do not lost any monsters. As I mentioned, I put my FEASTING SEAWEED in a latter place to utilize the Scavenger ability and suck bloods. It becomes the monster with most hp in my team eventually as the time goes by. And my PELACOR BANDIT with high speed successfully dodge the hits form enemy monsters. This line-up works pretty well and I will try to formulate similar team next time if I face the low-mana battle again.

Recap of reward card statistics

Based on the statistics, we are not sitting more than the half way of the road. As a result, I expect that we will need another 6 months to mint all those cards. Besides that, the most exciting news is that we are going to have some more new reward cards to collect. For me, I can't wait to collect those powerful cards and sweet power in my collection.
