Hello everyone in the Splinterverse, hope you all are enjoying the battles in Splinterland. We just harvest another season that is full of cheests and it's time for another weekly battle challenge and I am so happy to see the challenge about an useful water beast this week. In the followings, I would like to show some special strategies on my combination. Let's move on and don't forget to have fun reviewing the battle and enjoy the new giveaway!!

About FLYING SQUID

Although Flying Squid are not truly capable of flight, their moniker comes from their ability to launch themselves from the water and glide above the surface for long distances before resubmerging. These aggressive predators shoot ink into the eyes of their prey to blind them before attacking with their lengthy tentacles.

The FLYING SQUID is an useful second front tank that you shall put it in the second place of your line up with the reach ability. The advantage of FLYING SQUID is that it has high speed and decent health, which is capable to be a tank to protect your team while doing decent damage. My suggest level for the FLYING SQUID is level 6 for the blind ability of max level for the back fire ability.

The Battle Rules

50 Mana Cost SPREADING FURY: All Monsters have the Enrage ability. BROKEN ARROWS: Ranged attack Monsters may not be used in battles.

My Team

It is a high mana Brawl for me. Since it is a high mana game, dragon or water element would be the good fit choice for me to beat my enemy. As a result, I rent the gold foil water summoner KELYA FRENDUL to fit my team during the preparation time. Plus, the other reason for me to pick waster as my deck is that I only have 1 gold foil gladius card which is exactly the water element.

The Lineup

Summoner

The KELYA FRENDUL is an excellent water summoner in Chaos Edition which provides 1 speed and 1 shield for all monsters. It is totally different from last meta of Magic water team. The new meta of water has switch to melee-oriented recently with the existence of KELYA FRENDUL. Plus, the shield is pretty useful in the battle to protect all my monsters.

Front Row

The ALVA THE CRUSHER is a pretty good monster that with the shield ability, which is a perfect front tank to protect your team. For the gf ALVA THE CRUSHER, it has 2 melee damage and 7 health with the shield is decent enough to stand for a few rounds in the Brawl.

Second

The FLYING SQUID is an useful second front tank that you shall put it in the second place of your line up with the reach ability. The advantage of FLYING SQUID is that it has high speed and decent health, which is capable to be a tank to protect your team while doing decent damage. My suggest level for the FLYING SQUID is level 6 for the blind ability of max level for the back fire ability.

Third

The DEEPLURKER is a good water assassin with high speed and decent melee attack at Level 1. With the help of KELYA FRENDUL summoner, the shield provide extra survivability for it to deal more damages. For a starter, the suggest level is 4 since it gets one more melee damage.

Fourth

The SAND WORM is an useful neutral monster in previous reward edition. The most attractive point of SAND WORM is the tempting 5 attack in level 1, however the speed is the drawback of its function that might consequently lead to more miss. Sometimes, it is pretty powerful in certain rule sets such as the reverse speed. My suggest level is level 6 or max level.

Fifth

The VENARI WAVESMITH is also a good supportive monster in water element. The most important point is that the protect ability that gives every monster 2 extra shield in the battle. It could be pretty useful to increase the suitability of all the monster in the battle, especially the fragile magic monsters in water elements. Plus, the 3 magic attack of the max level is also a good point to max your VENARI WAVESMITH out. My suggest level is level 4 of 8.

Last

The MAGI OF CHAOS is a good one in the chaos edition as a neutral magic monster. For me, I bought myself a gold foil MAGI OF CHAOS to fit into the GF brawls. By considering the stats of magic attack and health to the mana cost, it is definitely a good magic neutral monster in current edition. My suggest level is level 3 or 6.

Battle Result

This one was easy peasy since I just build up a good team combination with decent tank building and dps allocating in the battle. From my experience, water deck has lots of good and powerful monsters such as the DEEPLURKER and FLYING SQUID. They are very powerful if you have the deep understanding and knowledge the features of them.

Recap of reward card statistics

The collection speed of new version reward card is faster than what I expected since we just did approximately 10% in new total bcx. Anyways, keep rocking and collect those sweet and powerful cards. Although the price suffers now, I do believe that you will regret not getting enough copies in the future once all cards are minted out.
