Sup folks, it is time for weekly challenge. Recently, the update of new reward system just made me a little bit sick and uncomfortable since the key became grinding all days in order to get the daily chests and seasonal chests. It is total different from what we get used to in the previous version. Besides that, the rework of reward model changed the eco of rental market, which released lots of high CP ratio cards for rent. And today, I would like to share an epic battle about VENARI KNIFER, don't forget to have fun watching the battle and enjoy the new giveaway!!

The Battle Rules

26 Mana Cost ARMORED UP: All Monsters have 2 Armor in addition to their normal Armor stat. BROKEN ARROWS: Ranged attack Monsters may not be used in battles.

My Team

It is a mid level mana game without ranger and extra shield. So my guess is that my enemy will use melee and magic damage. As a result, I will try to fit those monster with void ability of thorns ability into my team. Basically, putting the void monster in the front to tank magic damage. Technically speaking, most monsters with sneak ability are melee monster, so that I will put the thorns at my back to reflect the melee damage and protect my team.

Yup, it is my rough idea that I was thinking of during the preparation time while selecting team.

The Lineup

Summoner

The CAMILA SUNGAZER is a debuff dragon summoner that I rarely play due to the expensive rental price. However, renting most cards become less expensive and more affordable for me after the rework of reward system. As a result, I decide to give it a try for finish my daily focus. The reason I pick it up is that the elimination of magic monster. So that, the debuff of melee damage must be useful since I can just simply guess that my enemy will pick melee/magic monsters. In other words, the chance of debuff most of monster of my enemy becomes higher since I just eliminate the possibility of facing ranger.

Front Row

The FLESH GOLEM is actually a very excellent tank in earth team since it gets healing ability at level 3 and void ability at level 7. Therefore, the cost efficient of picking the FLESH GOLEM is super high when you only have 6 mana left to counter magic monster. As I mentioned, most of magic monsters will attack your front position so that I just put it as my first tank.

Second

The FUNGUS FIEND is always your good friend in battle since it is a 0 mana monster as a lure/shield to protect your team. Specifically, it synergize with my QUEEN MYCELIA with extra shield to tank more damage as my sub tank in the second position.

Third

The QUEEN MYCELIA is way too powerful in the magic team which provides two more shield for all the monsters while only costing 4 Mana. Technically speaking, it provides so much efficiency in the battle while costing not too much.

Fourth

The WOOD NYMPH plays a supportive role in my team to heal my team. It acquires the strengthen ability to increase the health of my team by 1 point which is pretty cool while only costing 4 mana at all. To be honest, I use the WOOD NYMPH more often than GOBLIN PSYCHIC.

Fifth

The DJINN BILJKA actually is a good reward legendary card that I just bought a few more copies today. The void ability helps it survive against magic damage. damage.

Last

The VENARI KNIFER is a good tank against those melee monster especially with low speed. It is not only because it has the thorns ability, but also the backfire at level 6 which deals damage when there's a miss. Please do not undervalue this ability in many situations since it could be quite helpful.

Battle Result

This one was a tough one since I was facing the cancer life team which keep repairing shield and got healing and resurrecting with the help of CHANSEUS THE GREAT. And it just costs me approximately 20 rounds to finished the battle.

The result shows that my strategy and idea worked well under my expectation. The sense of picking right monster in your team becomes more important now since every battle you fight will now count into your daily chest count and seasonal rewards. So please be aware of your win rate and try to watch more battles to learn some new tricks.

Recap of reward card statistics

In fact, we are sitting approximately 60% of old reward cards and it is faster than what I expected. We are enjoying the new version of reward cards recently, however, please remember that the total print amount of new cards will also be the same as the old ones in chaos legion.
