APRIL HPUD: LEO Power Delegation

Tomorrow is the monthly Hive Power Up Day (HPUD) drive. This outstanding initiative takes place the first day of the month and has been going on for some time now.

HPUD is administrated by @traciyork with assistance from @abh12345. It was originally implemented by @streetstyle. For more detailed information you can visit the official announcement post.

So goes the old rhyme. Just as flowers need rain, a HIVE account needs HIVE Power to thrive. What are the benefits of powering up or staking your $HIVE coins?

Powering Up/Staking HIVE Benefits

  • INFLUENCE - The impact of your voting for witnesses (blockproducers) as well as submitted proposals for HIVE projects.


  • REWARDS - The percentage of rewards for curation is based upon one's HIVE Power.


  • DIVIDENDS - HIVE accounts earn a 3% annual percentage rate (APR) on their staked HIVE. That is more than one will get from a bank, at least here in the USA!


  • DELEGATION - There are a number of ways to receive passive income by delegating to different projects and help the growth of HIVE in the process. A great many accounts reward those that delegate to them by way of votes on posts, tokens, and in some cases HIVE. Some that come to mind are @brofi, @lbi-token, @leo.voter. There are many others.
