I hear you brother. I had a very small investment in the wLEO pool (defi pairing of LEO and Ethereum), but in anticipation of the new bLEO (pairing of the $LEO token with the $BNB coin) pool I removed my liquidity and powered up the $LEO tokens. The gas fees are horrendous and are not anticipated to go down until the completed move to using a protocol of proof of stake (POS). That is anticipated to take a couple of few years, an eternity in crypto.

Right now is a great time to get started with the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) pairings even though the $BNB coin is over $200 USD. I believe it will go up in the very new future.

I am being cautious though. We shall see if the BSC will be able to handle the potential large amount of transactions without problems.

Sorry for my cautious view but when it comes to crypto I am of the philosophy Hope for the best, plan for the worst. Like many, I am still bullish on @leofinance that is for sure! The innovations, record of ethical business practices, and quality of content is unsurpassed by any other project on The HIVE Blockchain Network to which I am privy!
