If I only regret one thing tonight, I want it to be opening these packs

What? What are you saying? Nothing... it's from lyrics. I'm referencing the fact that it is probably dumb to open these packs, because the value of them will only go up if I hold them. However, if I manage to pull some legendary cards, or even some gold foil legendary ones... I might not regret it so much. I'm writing this paragraph before I open them, as I gather up enough potions for all of them. By the time this post is finished, you and I will both know something I don't know right now.

The verdict: It was worth it!

I think so, anyway. The 41 Untamed packs weren't worth $1066.82 on Hive Engine, so I came out ahead there. Also, I was only getting 24,000 SPS credits for ALL of my packs. Just these 41 Untamed packs added 25,150 points.

It was as worth it as it can be. Realistically, HODLing the packs would have been the best move. At some point, you have to give in and realize you can't take EVERY opportunity to make more money. Sometimes, you have to take a profit.

My collection has multiplied several times in value this year, so if I have to take a little bit out, I won't beat myself up over it. Overall, though, my goal is to minimize it because every asset counts toward the airdrop.

The Dice packs worked out okay, too. I came out slightly ahead as far as the value of the packs on Hive Engine and the value of the cards I opened. Plus, it adds another nearly 17,000 collection points for the SPS airdrop.

Truth be told: I'm selling a few of the cards

I know, it's dumb. I need to raise some money for some stuff in real life and I'm okay getting rid of a few as long as I'm still ahead in terms of the SPS airdrop and my overall collection value. Only a couple, though. Most of them, I am keeping. Especially the Mylor cards. I think those will only go up in value when the Dice packs are officially sold out. I just added a bunch of new cards to the rental market.

Instead of selling a bunch of cards, I only sold a few, but I'll start cashing out the DEC I get for renting out cards for a while. What I've been doing with it so far is upgrading my collection, but I'll just have to take a little break while I take out some money to come real life things. I feel very grateful that I have this source of income to cover real life things, though.

Milestone: 5000+ SPS staked

I've made the decision to stake every bit of SPS I get from the airdrop, minus the first day of the month. On that day, I will sell whatever I claim and turn it into Hive for Hive Power Up Day. The SPS I make in staking rewards I will mostly stake, but if I want/need that for other things, I will keep that option open. By the end of the airdrop, I should have well over 100,000 SPS.

What exciting times to be into Splinterlands! I hope you're enjoying the ride as much as I am!
