Hello everyone, my name is Simon, I'm 24 years old and currently living in Germany. Today I joined Hive and Leofinance. I'd like to introduce myself and talk a bit about me and the things I enjoy. Feel free to grab a cup of tea or coffee while reading my post, it might take a few minutes to read through. Please keep in mind that English is not my native language so misspelling might occur (or grammatical mistakes). Thanks for your attention and let's begin.

You may want to know how I got my username. "Shiso" is Japanese for "leaf" and here's the story behind it: When I was 18 years old, I worked in a 1 star Michelin restaurant. We used eatable micro plants (microgreens) to decorate our dishes. My favorite was "Shiso Purple". It just looked astonishing and tasted good.
Due to my interest in Japanese culture and my love for food and cooking, I decided to take Shiso as my nickname and I usually use that nickname to sign up whenever it's available/not taken.
Sadly, I can't work as a cook anymore, but I'll talk about it later in the post.

Why did I join Hive/Leofinance?
Luckily, my brother invited me to stay at his house over the Christmas holidays (2 households were allowed to meet during the covid lock down in Germany) and we talked a lot about crypto currencies and investments in general. I haven't touched any crypto coins before but the conversations raised my interest and I'm pretty excited to get deeper into it.
So I searched through the internet and Hive got my attention.
Coinbase was the first trading platform my brother suggested to me, so I created an account and I'm currently trading with the currency I got for free.
That leads us to the next point I want to share with you.

I'm a big gamer. Especially when it comes to World of Warcraft, which I played since I was 9 years old.
I don't want to dive too deep into WoW now, maybe in another post, but the important info you need is the existence of an ingame auction house in WoW.
I spend a lot of time trading virtual items/materials for WoW's ingame currency "gold". That way I was able to make a lot of gold, which I can convert into real money (via buying WoW Tokens with gold), usable in the Blizzard store (current pricing for EU WoW Tokens is around 160k gold for 13€).
I know I can't reproduce it exactly in real life because trading with crypto currency is different and with a way higher risk, but since I'm only using the free amount I got from coinbase, it won't hurt if I lose it. If you are interested about my trading process, feel free to ask. Maybe I'll document it and post it here on a regular basis.

The next point actually combines two points.
First, my job.
Currently I'm working on a 450€ monthly basis due to my chronic condition. But often I'm not able to work enough hours to reach the full amount. Second, the chronic condition.
I'm suffering from a very heavy, chronic migraine which occurs almost daily. Started at the age of 6 and got worse from time to time.
It is hard without a doubt and the last decade needed a lot of energy, but I'm still positive and look forward to better days. I'm also thinking about blogging about migraine, if you are interested, let me know.

Besides gaming I'd like to be in the nature, mostly with my dog (Alexia, 10y/o, Beagle). It has an relaxing effect on me and it's always good to get some fresh air. Furthermore I like to listen to music (mostly edm/hardstyle) and I can play the guitar and piano.
Also sports took a big role in my life. I was playing handball for a lot of years, but I had to quit due to migraine.

Lastly, I just want to say that life is beautiful and everyone should be thankful to be alive, recognize your chances and take them and be kind to each other. Stay safe and thanks for reading!

With kind regards
Simon
