My three themes and crypto picks for 2021
Crypto Themes
One of my themes for 2021 will be have enough tokens to matter.
I invested in probably 20 different cryptos in the past, and while some went up and some went down, I didn’t have enough tokens to make a real difference in my life financially, so this year I am changing that...
In past years I would buy 100 tokens of long shot projects I thought had a chance to 100x or 1000x as in increase in value 100 times or 1000 times. They were usually inexpensive tokens, with good ideas, but no product and or no finished code.
Now I am more selective, and buy larger numbers, so my goal is to acquire a minimum of 5000 token, and one year goal of 20,000 tokens. I want to own enough to matter. I give @nealmcspadden credit for reinforcing this idea on the Leofinance Podcast.
My other theme is own Bitcoin and Ethereum
I think every crypto portfolio should contain these two tokens. One is an excellent store of value coin. The other is the poster child for utility. I like to think of Bitcoin as Digital Gold and Ethereum as Black Gold or Oil. While they both are expensive, you can still buy small pieces every payday and accumulate them overtime.
Remember, even if you could only afford to buy 1/10th a Bitcoin at 390.00 USD price in March, when Bitcoin was 3900 USD, your 1/10th Bitcoin is now worth 3900, as one Bitcoin is now worth 39000.00 USD.
Like wise Ethereum, which dropped in March to 130 and now has cleared 1300 briefly. This is the beauty of Divisibility
My last theme is involvement and engagement
I want to control my future and take an active part in it, so I am promoting the tokens I own in print via Blogging and Twitter. I want to pick Token projects of high quality, good technology, hardworking accessible owners and creators. Projects I believe in and I want to actively promote them.
To this end I have been writing more about Bitcoin, Ethereum and DeFi. And my token investments have shrunk in number of token projects, while increasing my number of Tokens.
I still respect and understand other peoples project choices. And I strongly believe that A Zero Sum Game is a False Concept. Many projects will flourish and succeed. I will not spend my energy criticizing other projects, but instead promoting the projects I support.
