Morning everyone....

Well I will try to keep this as short as possible. But there is a whole lot I’m going to talk about for #sublimesunday.

Let’s start off with some hand crafted cabinets by me. Since I haven’t posted any of my work in quite some time now. For those of you that are new to following my posts. I am a furniture/cabinet maker. Everything I build is from scratch. I use only the best available materials and quality is my priority. My motto has and always will be “If I wouldn’t put it in my home, I won’t put it in yours”.

Today I am going to share a master bathroom that I recently completed and installed. This bathroom is huge, in the pictures you might not get that appearance. So I will give ou the perspective first.

The wall with the double vanities, four drawer cabinet and drop down make-up center is 156” long. That’s thirteen feet alone. On that same wall to the right of the vanities is a toilet room, that is five feet by five feet with a pocket door.

To the left of the toilet room are two full length linen cabinets. One is 36” wide by 20” deep. The other is 48” wide, and 24” deep. Both of the linen cabinets are 90” tall, with micro crown molding across the top.

The bathroom has a vaulted ceiling which at the peak is twelve feet high. There are two 24” by 48” skylights in the ceiling.

The floor tiles are 24” wide by 36” long and are hand painted porcelain tiles with a matte finish. They look like marble but they are not. The tile guy told me each tile was almost $200.

In a few of the pictures you will see off to the right a custom shower stall area that is not complete. The tile for this is still on the boat on its way here from Italy.

The backsplash tiles above the vanities is hand blown glass with gold leaf behind it.

My cabinets are constructed from 3/4” furniture grade maple plywood. The doors are solid furniture grade maple. The finish on the cabinets is called Colortone. Which is color mixed with lacquer. It requires a hardener with a ratio of three ounces of hardener per quart of Colortone.

This finish is extremely difficult to work with because with the hardener you only get about 30 minutes to use it before it gets to thick to spray. Then a complete breakdown of the spray equipment has to be done and everything has to be cleaned thoroughly.

Each cabinet requires three coats of Colortone, then three coats of a lacquer topcoat as well. It is a very timely process, which I don’t like to do often. The color of the finish is a olive green/gray.

Enough talk, here are the pictures:

They are very happy with it.

Now for a US Mint update:

Since my post the other day, the US Mint has revealed more information. I gave you the product schedule in the last one.

Here is the new information

All of the coins have an $85 price tag. They are being struck from .999 fine silver. Because they are keeping the same exact dimensions of the original coins they are not going to be one Troy ounce. Instead the will be .852 ounces.(Can you say rip-off).

There is a product limit of 175,000 coins. Do not get this confused with total mintage. This means that they will only sell 175,000 of each coin separately. At some point they will also have some kind of set configurations. My guess and many others is that the total mintage will be around 300,000.

There is a household limit of 25 coins at this time. This can change as it has in past offerings. Here is the other bullshit listed. While you have to buy the coins on the release dates or you will most likely miss out. The coins will not ship until October. WTF????

***Another beautiful coin program that the Us Mint totally fucked up.....

They also posted real coin images. I will show them in release date order.

May 24th noon EST

June 1st noon EST

June 7th noon EST

That was a mouthful, my fingers are sore....

Have a great day
