The first foreign bullion coin that appealed to me a while back was the Chinese Panda. But my interest waned very quickly for personal reasons.

2023 Chinese Silver Panda Coin (BU)

The Chinese Pandas were first introduced in 1983 in proof versions but were inconsistent in purity and weight from one year to the next, from 90% silver to sterling silver, or 92.5% silver, until 1989 when the coins were set at 1 Troy oz of .999 pure silver.

Coin Highlights:

39th year for the Chinese Silver Panda Coin.

Contains 30 Grams (.9645 Troy oz) of .999 pure silver in BU condition.

The face value of 10 Yuan is fully backed by the Chinese government.

On the obverse are two Giant Pandas in a tree.

The reverse features the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests.

The obverse of the silver coin features an important structure in the Taoist religion, the Temple of Heaven’s Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests.

Individual Chinese Silver Panda coins ship in plastic capsules, and are housed in trays of 30 coins.
