ARMORSMITH is a personal favorite Monster in the Life Splinter.

I utilize Armorsmith oftentimes when I call upon my Life Team to battle... even if it would mean not optimizing the Battle Mana Cap!

Armorsmith has the advantage of a low Mana of 2 and is equipped with the Repair ability even at level 1.

The only other monster in the Life Splinter with the Repair ability is the Lone Boatman- but Lone Boatman need to be at level 5 with 60 cards before he acquires the Repair ability. This makes Armorsmith almost unique.

The Common Monster Armorsmith is hardworking! Its name defines its primary role in battles. With Armorsmith in the lineup, it is my experience that the LifeTeam stays longer in the battlefield.

  • Armorsmith's repair ability will restore some armor to the friendly Monster whose armor has taken the most damage.
  • Armorsmith will repair its own armor when damaged.
  • Armorsmith has Melee attack and can attack from the first position in the lineup. In the battle rule Melee Mayhem, it can attack from the back-line position.

General Strategy

As all Splinterlands Warriors must know, the general strategy in all battles (and therefore the choice of Monsters for my line up is of course) based on the (1)Battle Ruleset and Mana cap, and (2) the Abilities of the Monsters.

In general, I would try field Monsters with offensive abilities like Snipe and Sneak abilities in back-line positions.

Specific Strategy

  • Based on the Ruleset Close Range: The likelihood that the Opponent Team will have many Range attack Monsters, I picked the Life Team, using Tyrus Paladium as Summoner who provides +1 armor to all my monsters. Armor will protect the Health of my Monster from being damaged first because Range Monsters direct its blows towards the armor first before targeting the health of enemy monsters.
  • ARMORSMITH compliments the buff given by Tyrus Paladium. With its Repair ability, Armorsmith will restore some armor to the friendly Monster whose armor has taken the most damage. Because Amorsmith does not have an offensive attack from the back line, I protect it by placing it in the middle back-line position.
  • Based on my general strategy of fielding Monsters with "offensive abilities", I chose Feral Spirit with Sneak ability to target the enemy Monster in the last position and Highland Archers with Snipe ability to target enemy Range, Magic or No Attack Monsters in the back line positions.
  • Based on the low battle Mana Cap, I chose low mana Monsters to be able to field more attacking Monsters. I have no low-mana Magic Monsters in the Life Team.
  • A great low-mana Monster with Range attack is the Herbalist. It has the Cleanse ability which removes all negative effects on the Monster in the first position of my Team!

My strategy worked!

Battle Result: My Team WON and demolished the opponent team without losing a single monster in the battlefield.๐Ÿ’ช ๐Ÿ’ช ๐Ÿ’ช ๐Ÿ’ช ๐Ÿ’ช
