Power Hungry SOB!

I set myself a goal of reaching 25k HP by the end of July 2023 earlier this month. Counting this month, it's about 9 months from now. At the time I was already at nearly 11k HP and it seemed to me I was making a conservative target. But as I sat down later and did the actual math, I quickly realized I was way over my head if I thought I could do it just by posting.

~1.5k HP per month from posting is a steep ask

Sure there are a some authors who will easily meet that target, but I know all too well it's about the exponential theory of HIVE that makes it possible for those select few. But for a more "civilian" author that task is nearly impossible, at least to repeat it month after month for 9 months straight. It is also not always possible to write everyday for 9 months, for me particularly because of how demanding my hospital duties can get. I am trying to write everyday for a month, at least once. And my calculations say I will reach only 500 HP at best from posting every single f*cking day! Add about another 100 from curation and that still leaves me 900 HP short per month. That is a bridge that I simply can not keep crossing month after month.

So, am I changing the target?

Nope.

If it takes a bit longer that's fine. But that is a level I just really want to reach. It's like a feel good level for me you could say!

I have powered up about 300 hive this month already from selling some of my hive engine tokens. So that gives a slight push for this month. For the coming months, that is taken care of too! The current dip in HIVE's price has seen to that and I was able to nicely fill my bag. Powering up all my liquid HIVE will actually take me very very close to my target, but I am not going to do that. Half of that liquid hive is for my swing trades. And the remaining HIVE is to sell at the next bullrun...say when hive goes to $3 again shall we!

If the dip continues to dip, I will try to keep adding more to my hive bag. But I will hold off powering them up all at once because I do need the liquidity to pay my bills. And I will keep hitting the grindstone and see how far posting regularly takes me eventually. When push comes to shove I may push the powerup button again, because let's be honest - it has a damn feel good vibe to it!
