The major difference between rise of facebook, google, amazon the last decade and the the rise of decentralization is, there was no one to really oppose the rise of these centralized entities. Now once they've become giant powerhouses, they are actively opposing the rise of decentralization. Facebook and YouTube censoring crypto related content. No central entity will ever want to allow the rise of decentralization because that will mean shift of power.

Thus, while we saw a major rise of the aforementioned entities within a decade, decentralization will take much longer. But we are eventually headed that way.
