Bridging the Gap

Today I traded my second lot of around 5700 STEEM and put it all into HIVE.

I have 11 further lots of STEEM to sell over the next 3 months or so and then some more made up of rewards, and yet more via delegations, I pulled after the power down occurred.

How do you sell, trade or convert your STEEM?

I know only too well how to buy STEEM with Sterling (that’s the British Pound), but selling is a new thing to me. For the last 2 years its been one way traffic which is quite scary really.

7 days ago I traded ALL my powered down STEEM for HIVE using ionomy.com. If you are patient it’s still the best way to go though cumbersome for someone who is not used to trading platforms.

I know many content creators are not particularly familiar with this route and it can look like a complex nightmare to the uninitiated.

On this occasion, I used the blocktrades portal at blocktrades.us and had my HIVE in a matter of minutes.

You are going to pay a little for being impatient but I got a rate of almost 0.7 for STEEM – HIVE. That’s for every 10 STEEM, I get 7 HIVE.

A few days ago it was almost half but the gap has been bridged a little. What will that gap be like in a week?

@azircon posted about how to sell his STEEM and suggested he will place his faith in Splinterlands. I’m not so sure about this, I feel the game has gone stagnant again and is being played mostly by bots at levels lower than Diamond.

If he does want to invest there, then I would suggest getting the older cards. Lord Anus is still king tank and although still expensive for a reward card, he wins me many matches.

There are plans by the Splinterlands team to introduce crafting and many other features. It can’t come soon enough for me and I’m sure will invigorate the game again.

With all the looting taking place on STEEM I am surprised it's holding up at 14c. Someone is buying STEEM somewhere or it would collapse.

After I realised last night that Steemit censored my leaving post, I thought, fuck it I’m going to loot too.

While everyone is smashing down the STEEM car showrooms and driving away in big fancy Lamborghinis, I’m walking past the battery store, looking around shiftily and nicking a pair of Duracells.

Today I posted my very first STEEM post again on the STEEM blockchain. I added a few bells and whistles and this time it eclipsed the 28c I got on the first run.

The price gap between the two tokens is as close as I have seen it. Will it bridge even closer or are we going to struggle to jump it soon without forfeiting a great deal of hard-earned STEEM?

This is only relevant if you are thinking of jumping ship. Some are staying; some are buying a second home, while others are moving home.
