You stand to gain only as much as you learn. Crypto currency has been my bete noire. I never understood or tried to understand it. I am just another writer who enjoys writing and would never bother to go any further than that.

I was told social networking and social media marketing would take me much further, but I was too hesitant. I am not your regular social media types I am my own private person.

Crypto jargon has always sounded like an alien language to me. Added to this was the fact that my country never encouraged in dealing with cryptocurrency. What would I do even if I earned some. I heard about steemit many years ago but never bothered to check it out. Crypto was out of my league.

A few years later I heard about a platform called BitLanders, it was paying in crypto as well as the name suggests. I didn't bother to check it out either. The earning was good friends told me, but to me it seemed like a currency with no value.

Nonetheless, in 2019 Bitlanders started to pay in fiat currency and I hopped on to the bandwagon. I should say I earned so much more from their beta projects for machine learning. I was among one of those few people they had selected for this project. I earned 30 times more from this than from my actual writing. $200 a week was easy money and then they changed the very focus of the site. We could only write articles pertaining to AI to be paid. I researched, learned, wrote and earned well too. Sadly, their partners then, IBM, ditched them and BitLanders became a no pay site.

I worked with a couple of other platforms and had fun writing and posting my photographs while earning a bit on the side without much effort. They bit the dust too. I was forced to join a crypto platform called Uptrennd by a friend who promised to teach me all I needed to know about crypto.

Three weeks down the line she disappeared from the face of the www. I was left alone like a coracle in the whirlwind, sucked in by the storms of crypto demons.

However, the platform was good and I enjoyed it. Did I earn anything? I earned, but I lost everything I earned because I didn't know how to handle crypto. Did I learn my lessons from this? Not really, I am here not knowing what I am doing, but this time around I am determined to learn all that I need too, even if it is going to take a long time.

Right now all I plan to do is Hodl. No dumping for me. I need power so I am going to get all I can as soon as I can. I am working harder everyday just to ensure that I grow steadily. I don't believe in getting rich overnight, never did in all these years I have written online.

I believe in steady growth and in a steady learning curve. I am going to learn enough to handle, invest and trade in crypto.

Do I have FUD? Oh yes, the bearish or bullish trends do give me the jitters, so I never watch the market. Do I experience FOMO? Nah, I am a NOOB and don't know much to miss out on anything lol.

I learned a bit about keeping my wallet safe from a friend's experience. I am learning a bit about security everyday.

Now, do you think that is a good enough learning curve in the last 25 days or so? If you don't teach me some more in the comment section. If you do, help me learn a wee bit more today.

Currently I am just a tiny red fish (almost invisible) in the ocean called Hive. I may become a whale some day only time can tell. (No laughing please) I plan to gain much more than currencies here, I plan to learn.

Thanks for taking the time out to read about my crypto struggles.
