MY First Ever HPUD
I am a new arrival here Hive, although I signed up in mid January of 2021 but I thought it was way too complicated for me and went back to the other platforms where I was contributing regularly. The things took an awful turn and I sites I loved bit the dust. I had no choice but to return to Hive.
I started to write here only on the 5th of May. Just in time (on the last day) I found the newbie initiative program and applied for it. Until then I had been writing regularly enjoying certain communities here which cater to my interests. Soon enough I was able to find like minded people here and happy to see how well I fit in. I won a few contest which brought me some HIVE and some Hive Power.
From then on the ride has been smooth and with the support of some generous people here who delegated me I have been able to work my way up to level 59 and I earned enough to be able to powerup with 70 HIVE today.
Even though I do not understand the nitty gritty of how everything works here I know that I need to power up to build my account and the blockchain in my own small way.
I was able to move from nothing to 5 Hp on May 14th to 118.5 HP in the next 16 days, May 31.
The 70 HP I had earned so far, has now helped me gain to 217 HP as you would see in the screen shot below. It is not much I know, but I have reinvested almost 90% of the funds I had back into the block chain.
I know my faith is well placed and Powering Up is basically staking of the HIVE token I will soon have higher voting power which I hope to use it for the benefit of this blockchain and the community here.
No growth is sustainable unless the blockchain is strong and even though I am a new arrival here I have decided that I will keep on powering up every month until I reach level 70.
I believe in commitment, hard work and consistency. These three being my core strengths have helped me grow wherever I have been so far.
I only see myself growing here as this blockchain grows stronger.

I have been unraveling the Hive block chain like a treasure chest each day. It has been a pleasure to discover new communities that help me shine as a contributor and learn more as a member while earning some too.
I have been reading @traciyork’s announcemt post and preparing for this event over the last week. Now that it is all done, I have the satisfaction of having completed my first ever HPUD.
