Welcome to the weekly update post for @spinvest-leo, where I (@jk6276) record on chain for transparency our transactions for the week, and update @spinvest investors with our progress.

Some major changes this week, with some funds moved around and a new position taken. After consultation between myself and @silverstackeruk early in the week on discord, we made the decision to shift some funds out of Polycub positions and onto a platform on Binance Smart Chain called EMP Money. This is by no means a reflection on POLYCUB, we retain our XPOLYCUB position and will continue to do so long term.

SSUK had been researching and testing the platform for a while, and I dabbled with some personal funds before moving some Spinvest-Leo funds over. The primary goal here is to boost our dividend, from my perspective. SSUK has some of the funds he manages also there, but he is chasing growth, while I am chasing income. This , in my opinion, is one of the beauties of the @spinvest structure, in that different wallet managers can pursue different strategies, and SPI holders can benefit from this variety of approaches.

Anyway, on with the report.

EMP MONEY.

The funds we have added here came from the LP positions on POLYCUB, namely PLEO/MATIC and POLYCUB/WETH. We have exited these pools for now, and moved those funds to BSC into these new EMP position.

Two positions were added, being in the EMP/ETH farm, and ESHARE/BNB. EMP is a token that is "pegged" to ETH, at a ratio of 4000 EMP = 1 ETH. This means that in theory, provided it hold peg, the pool should be a fairly safe exposure to the price of ETH, with high yields. ESHARE is the main reward token for the platform, so it is likely to be more volatile. I used 75% of the funds in the "safer" EMP/ETH pool, and the remaining in the ESHARES/BNB.

For the first 5 or so days that this position has been in place, earnings have been 0.0671414 ESHARES, which is worth $164.63. On Pancakeswap, I trade half of this into BLEO, and received 571.808 BLEO. This is the funds for dividends this week, from this position. Moving forward, it should be a little more as next week will cover a full 7 days.

The remaining earnings I again split 75%/25% between the two pools, to compound for growth.

Asset value this week:

  • ETH/EMP - $2416
  • BNB/ESHARE - $951

Dividend funds this week:

  • BLEO 571.808 = $80

POLYCUB.

Having removed our LP positions this week, any remaining POLYCUB tokens, plus the airdrop has simply been added to our XPOLYCUB position.

Asset value this week:

  • XPOLYCUB - $405 (down $164)

Currently we hold 106.8 XPOLYCUB.

CUBFINANCE.

No changes to our holdings here, just maintaining the funds we have.

  • Farmed a total of 404 CUB this week.
  • Traded half to BLEO - received 165.309 ($23 value)
  • Added remaining funds to the CUB/BUSD farm.

Asset values this week:

  • BLEO/BNB - $3906 (down $263)
  • DEC/BUSD - $1489 (down $2)
  • CUB kingdom - $1175 (down $312)
  • CUB/BUSD - $676 (down $58)

Dividend funds this week:

  • 165.309 BLEO = $23 value (down $6.60)

Real tough week for CUB, hopefully things will turn around soon.

SPLINTERLANDS.

  • Claimed 518.570 SPS
  • Staked 260
  • Sent remainder (258.573) to Spinvest for dividends - value = $32

Asset value this week:

  • SPS $655 (up $7)

Dividend funds this week:

  • SPS $32 (same as last week)

HIVE.

  • Sent 2.921 HBD to spinvest ($3)
  • Sent 59.285 LEO ($8) from post payouts and @leo.voter delegation of HP.
  • Total sent $11 (down $1)
  • Asset value $188 (down $13)

SUMMARY.

Total asset value this week: $11861 Change this week - down $958

Funds sent for dividends: $135 Change this week - up $73

Funds sent from post/HP: $11 Change this week - down $1

Overall, the slide in CUB price hurt us the most, SPS was pretty stable, and the shift from POLYCUB to EMP saved us from a worse outcome in the short run. Time will tell how it travels over the long run, I am fully expecting the yield token to decline, and the yields to drop, as that has been my experience in every farm to date. But the move overall should add $100 per week to our dividends, so I think it is well worth the risk.

Thanks for reading,

JK.
