So what do you think? Should SPinvest rebrand to SP-farming? If we put farm or defi in the name, it'll sell a million tokens!!!

Every new project lately that has anything to do with paying out a dividend is a farming project. Shit, SPinvest and it's SPI token has been farming for 20 months before farming was even a thing. Not saying that anything with farm in the name is a bad thing, it's just this year's new crypto fad word. Yield farming in it's simplest terms is locking up crypto and getting rewards so powering up HIVE is yield farming because you would earn inflation, buying SPI tokens is yield farming because it pays a weekly dividend, in fact, anything that gives a reward for staking/holding crypto is yield farming. We've all been doing it for years so dont get caught up in a name. People like miner tokens but they are simply reusable raffle tickets, branding as miners creating new tokens makes it sound like a smart investment to investors whereas branding them as reusable raffle tickets for pre-minted tokens does not sound as appealing. Something is what it does and not what it says.

Of course, SPinvest is not considering a rebrand to SP-farming, that was click bate, sorry.....ish. We might offer a farming token in future but nothing in the works. I've had idea's but im time-poor and LBI is gonna require a lot of my focus over the next 2-3 months. If you think you'd be good at running a project for SPinvest, let someone know and we can have a chat, we work on a profit split basis and you'll have a team of support helping you.

To the point. This post is about farming tokens but more specifically dividend-yielding hive-engine tokens. With all the talk of smart contracts, governance and defi in general, we are going to see an influx of defi/farming tokens arrive on hive-engine. Now, we've been doing this a long time already and thank god SPinvest has a solid foundation in place that does not require any further funding. I think if SPI were launched this week instead 20 months back, we might have a hard time issuing 100k tokens with competition projects being available. I even heard there is a really hot token being released soon going by the name LBI, but many others are being released and many more will follow over the next few months. Just be wary before you invest as im sure some will promise the moon. Anyone remember ATOM.TOKEN that scammed tens of thousands of HIVEp recently? That was a small scam. If people FOMO'ed hard into that project, that could have been tens of thousands of dollars instead of HIVE.

As to what you do with your money, how you invest it is up to you but im going to throw this out there and say the SPI will not be jumping into every new hot token that's released, I dont think we'll be investing into any at all. The fact of the matter is SPI has the resources are is already doing what these new tokens will offer. Ok, we wasted $200 of farm farmer but now we've had our fun, it's time to get serious.

When looking into any investments for the fund, the most important thing for me is liquidity. It's the number 1 thing I look at, it's why SPI offers a 95% buy-back, no point in buying crypto that jumps 10,000% if you cant sell more than $10 of it at a time without crashing the price. Sadly, if you own $1000 of a hive-engine token, with the exception of 5-6 tokens, your gonna have problems getting $1000 for them tokens as there's no liquidity offered for must projects. Remember you dont make a profit until you cash it out and if your gonna have problems cashing it out, your gonna have problems making a profit. Liquidity is number 1 which makes pretty much all HE tokens not worth looking at for larger investments atm. SPI's only hive-engine token investment in 20 months has been BRO and BROAG and only because I know I can cash out the tokens for hard cash or HIVE on a gentle man's handshake, you dont get those in smart contracts, haha. No liquidity, no investment.

Which house best suits SPI's holdings/investments?

Remember that SPI has been built upon a good foundation and 2021 is going to be a hell of a year for crypto so let's stay focused and eyes on the prize. I think im writing this to myself. We have had a smashing for almost 2 years, we have released our first sub token around 3 months back and in 3 days, we will launch LBI for the LEO community. 2021 is what we've been building SPinvest and it's flagship SPI token for. We've grinded it out most the crypto bear market, stacked our chips when they were cheap and 2021 when the bulls come storming we will see our profits, our holding and the amounts of wallets holding SPinvest related tokens explode. Im only surprised everything is working out as planned, few bumps in the road here and there and nothing major. Sounds presumptuous but SPI was launched during the bear market for a reason. I mean, I wasn't waiting for it but i knew we were in a bear market and it was a perfect time to build something up big and strong for the next bullrun that we are entering now.

Farming tokens? nah!!!!

Not for SPinvest, we're above that. We've built a nice brick house and the view from the inside out is just fine. Let's take of the house and make sure we dont downgrade ourselves.

Over the past 4 days, i see 3 new investment tokens released to hive-engine and thankfully they look legit. They are simple tokens, they explain what they do and it's nice to see others join the party. My fear is as time goes by, others will set up scam projects are projects that are money grabs.

DONT FORGET - DYOR - do your own research

Remember that something is what it does and not what someone says it does
