What would happen to SPinvest's tokens if hive-engine went offline

SPinvest is a tokenized investment fund/club experiment open to all HIVE users. The concept of SPinvest is to get rich slowly by using time tested methods of earning, saving and compounding long term. We encourage long term investing on and off the blockchain. We hope someday everyone will HODL some SPI tokens that can be bought directly from hive-engine by search SPI.

Hello everyone, most of us are aware that hive-engine and SCOT have been having a few problems over the past few days and people are getting concerned about there investments and rightly so. I've have been asked a few times within the past 24 hours, does SPI take daily snapshots. The answer is yes, the dividend bot take's daily token holders snap shits for SPI, SPIR, EDS and LBI within the next 2 week. Hive-engine going down would not hurt SPinvest and it's tokens the same as tribes are other investment style tokens. Lets look at SPinvest 4 tokens and see how they would be affected by hive-engine going down.

The difference between SPinvest tokens and others

First, you have to know that SPI, EDS and LBI do not have market cap's, they have liquidation caps. Our token prices are not based on what the next person is willing to pay, they are based on what the liquidation value is. If SPinvest says an SPI token is worth 60 cents and you sell it on HE for 50 cents, you're a donkey. Would you sell $1 for 80 cents? Prob not. Please understand our tokens are backed by assets and investments.

Think of all of SPinvest's tokens as tradable receipts of ownership.

SPIR - RIP

We'll start off with SPIR. What's SPIR? your thinking never heard of that. It's a SPinvest royalty token held by ole school SPIinvestors that resides on steem-engine, or it used to. RIP SE. If you hold SPIR, dont worry about it. I have 100 SPI tokens in your name for each SPIR token you own sitting in the spi-contests wallet. You will still receive your monthly SPI royalty payment and normal div's on top on the 20th, are around a bout it as the bot does not work anymore cause SE is down. But for anyone holding SPIR's, no change in service, rewards are token value. Steem-engine what? we dont require that thank you.

SPI

Looking into SPI and what would happen if hive-engine went down. First off, our portfolio would take a hit of around 25% but we would do much better than 99% of other tokens currently hosted on HE. I personally think holding onto 75% of our value would give us gold standard status within the community.
Looking roughly at the numbers, today SPI is worth 450k HIVE. Our hive-engine wallets contain 112K HIVE's worth of tokens and this is what we would lose. Each SPI token would still be worth 45 cents are x3.8 times the avg issue price.
We would wait for an HE2 are something like it. If it never arrives, we create a simple ERC-20 token, do an airdrop and get it listed onto some DEX exchange. Everything else continues on.

EDS

LBI

LeoBacked Investments would be the worst hit of the tokens. Im not sure how LeoFinance would react, if they would think of a way to use wLEO as a replacement on the frontend are weather it would simply die off with the rest of the tribes. If they survive hive-engine going down, we would wait for an HE2 are something like it. If it never arrives, we create a simple ERC-20 token, do an airdrop and get it listed onto some DEX exchange.
