Final Land Presale, Uniswap Rewards, LEO Tokens, and More!
Third Land Presale Details
The second of three land presale stages took place last Saturday, Nov. 28th, 2020. The majority of the 30,000 available plots were pre-purchased via the lottery system, and the remaining plots available sold out within roughly 30 minutes of the presale start time.
The presale went much more smoothly from a technical perspective the second time around thanks to the lottery system, so we are planning to implement the same system for the third and final stage of the Splinterlands land presale which will begin on Saturday, December 19th, 2020, at 16:00 UTC (11:00 AM ET).
30,000 plots of land will be available at a 30% discount to the base retail price in the third presale stage, and this will be the last opportunity to get land on the continent of Praetoria at a discount!
If more than 30,000 plots are pre-purchased via the lottery, then those plots will be distributed on the presale start date to lottery winners who will be chosen in a provably-fair manner based on unpredictable data from the first block produced on the Hive blockchain on or after that date.
If fewer than 30,000 plots are pre-purchased via the lottery, then everyone who entered the lottery will receive their land claim tokens once the presale begins, and the remaining plots will be available for purchase in the shop page of the Splinterlands website.
The land will remain available for purchase through the Splinterlands website at the 30% discounted price until either all 30,000 plots are sold or until January 1st, 2021, at which point any remaining plots from the third presale plus the 50,000 additional post-presale plots will be available for purchase at the base retail price.
The third and final land presale lottery is expected to be open and available for entries starting on Monday, December 7th, 2020.
Second Uniswap LP Rewards Available
The second 30-day period for the Uniswap Liquidity provider reward promotion ended on Dec. 1st, with another 1,000 free land plot claims up for grabs for players who contributed liquidity to the DEC-ETH Uniswap pool during the period.
As with the first period, participants will receive 1 free land plot claim for each 0.1% of the total pool liquidity provided over the 30-day period (rounded to the nearest 0.1%). As always, the ~$50k worth of liquidity provided by Splinterlands is excluded from the reward calculations.
The results for the second 30-day period are shown in the table at the bottom of this post. Please note that participants who did not provide enough liquidity over the period to receive a free land plot claim will still be eligible to receive free raffle ticket tokens at the end of the full 90 day promotion.
The Uniswap LP rewards for the second period are expected to be available to claim through the Splinterlands website starting on Monday, Dec. 7th. As a reminder, Uniswap rewards can be claimed by clicking on your account name on the top right of the Splinterlands website and choosing the "Claim Uniswap Reward" menu option in the drop down list.
We also want to remind everyone that, even though the first two phases of the Uniswap LP promotion are over, there is still one phase left with an additional 1,000 free land plot claims available and a total of 100,000 free raffle tickets available at the end of the promotion, so it’s definitely not too late to contribute and earn some valuable rewards!

Finally, we are also in the process of designing an ongoing rewards program to continue to incentivize players to contribute liquidity to the DEC-ETH pool on Uniswap after the current land promotion finishes on Dec. 31st, so please stay tuned for more details about that!
Splinterlands Now Accepts LEO Tokens
Splinterlands is excited to announce that we now accept LeoFinance (LEO) tokens as payment for Credits in the Splinterlands shop!
In order to accept a token as payment we require the token to have a reasonably stable price and a significant amount of liquidity. With well over $500k of liquidity in the wLEO-ETH Uniswap pool, the LEO token certainly fulfills those requirements, and we're super happy to be able to accept a token from another Hive-based application as a payment method in the game!
