This Coin Made Me Realize That Australians REALLY Are Not Lucky

Before I tell you what this coin made me realize, I must say this dragon is pretty badass…

Looks like a mix of Shrenon from the Dragon Ball franchise and Charizard from the Pokémon franchise. It’s got that long skinny snake like body, with legs sticking out, and a flame on the tip of its tale. Also looks like it is holding onto a ball, maybe a silver coin? Now, to get to what made me say “wtf” in regards to Australia. Before scrolling down past the picture do this, look at the picture, then guess what it is. Take your guess then continue to scroll down.

So first thing I notice is, the Queen has way more design than the other coins I have with the queen on it. I also notice this is a 9999 coin which I am a big fan of… but what caught me off guard is the face value. $1?!?! Are you serious? $1 for a silver coin? I have silver coins that are $5 face dollar, $8 face value… but this is the only coin I have seen that has a $1 face value. Just so you know, $1 USD = $1.39 AUD… $1 CAD = $1.10 AUD… this is the lowest face value I have ever seen. Really made me feel like this is a taste of the bullshit Australians have to deal with. They are getting ripped off down there, I read a lot of news from all around the world and its scary to thing “the great down under” is such a control state.

But, I truly feel like the people will come together and overcome all adversities.
