The cornerstone for a treasure hunt in which only the best will prove themselves. Only those who don't get tired and perceive every valuable clue in the confusion of the internet.

Are you ready? Ready to hunt a treasure that is practically under your nose? A treasure that will captivate you because it is so close and yet so far away at the same time.

The treasure is @hidden-block | a lost hive account whose private key is haunting the worlds of the internet. Are you ready to retrieve the key and take control of the account and all information on it?

All you need is a good sleuth, creativity and the willingness to engage in the hunt. In theory, you don't even need a hive account. However, some of the features described below cannot be used without a hive account.

@hidden-block

After beeanon brought @hidden-block to life, the account was populated with a small number of hives. 800 hive are waiting for the treasure hunters at the beginning of the crypto hunt. You need to solve this riddle to finish the Cryptohunt.

The interactive Cryptohunt

Towel is stranded and was captured. To free him, a riddle has to be solved, which is located in the worlds of the WWW. Where exactly nobody knows for sure. Towel is not alone, he has some loyal companions who accompany Towel and his supporters and help him with words and deeds. The one who manages to free Towel by breaking his digital lock will receive all the tokens that are in the hidden block at that time.

There are some features integrated in the hunt that could be very relevant. Let me summarize them for you before going into details below:

Interactive treasure

The treasure is not fixed. Every liquid payout of every post of mine that refers to the cryptohunt is sent by me regularly to @hidden-block until the hunt is over. Additionally, participants have the possibility to buy buddy hints to unlock additional hints to the riddle.

Secret-Hints and Buddy-Hints

Within the puzzle there are various codes hidden, which can be redeemed. Searchers receive a Secret-Hint when a code is redeemed. All codes within the puzzle start and end with XX. The length of the codes is always the same. The finder must send the code in a public memo to @hidden-block. This will be verified within 24 hours. A memo will be published if the code is correct and has not been redeemed before.

Checkpoints

Checkpoints are hidden within the hunt. If someone reaches a checkpoint, he can send the found code to @hive-blocks and verify it. Once this is done, the other seekers are informed that a checkpoint has been cracked and how it was reached. Additionally a Secret-Hint is published.

Honeypots

They lie by the wayside, the little treasures of life. Unfortunately, you have to find out for yourself what exactly honeypots are. Try them when you find them. They are delicious.

Status updates

XooX will give regular status updates and follow how the treasure changes and honeypots are found. Maybe even chirp between the searchers.

Who will accompany you on the hunt?

Secret Hints & Buddy-Hints - Buddy

Buddy is the smallest companion, but possibly the one with the most influence. He has all kinds of useful hints at hand. He has hidden some of these clues. He hopes that they will only be found by people who have the right qualifications. These are so-called Secret-Hints. But Buddy would not be Buddy if he did not have more to offer. His goal is to make more people aware of the Cryptohunt and to increase the interest in finding Towel. Therefore he systematically sells clues to all searchers.

If you find a code, you can redeem it. For this purpose a transaction with 0.001 HBD/HIVE and the Secret-Hint-Key has to be sent as a PUBLIC memo to @hidden-block. The verification will take place within 24 hours. Afterwards the verified memo is delivered by Buddy and can be viewed by all participants. Buddy-hints can be purchased similar to crowdfunding. However, these are reduced to 5 hints per week. Buddy Hints are unlocked after the searchers have sent the following amounts to @hidden-block.

The minimum amount is 1 Hive. Smaller sums are not taken into account.

Buddy Hint 1 : 8 Hive Buddy Hint 2: 15 Hive Buddy Hint 3: 30 Hive Buddy Hint 4: 60 Hive Buddy Hint 5: 100 Hive

Here is an example: A and B each send 7 Hive to @hidden-block. This means that 14 hives are sent to @hidden-block. This unlocked Buddy Hint 1 this week. To unlock Buddy Hint 2, 23 hives are still missing.

Another example: Some viewfinders did not manage to unlock Buddy Hint 5 by the end of the week. In total they only had 100 hives until 24:00. The value is now carried over to the next week. The searchers will automatically receive Buddy-Hints 1,2 & 3 and will remain with a status of 13 hive.

Noticed: Every unlocked hint will be published for everyone to see. Buddy hints do not give you an individual advantage. Transactions to @hidden-block are not refundable. Make sure to enter the correct amounts.

A return of transferred Hive/HBD is in NO CASE! possible. All transactions automatically become part of the Crypto Hunt treasure and belong to the finder. Hints do not consider the progress, the treasure hunter. There is no guarantee that the hint has a direct benefit for the respective finder. Hints are not in chronological order and may lose value if individual parts of the puzzle have already been solved. The different prices of the clues do not give any indication of their potential usefulness.

So remember, whenever you see Buddy, an important information could be shared.

Need a Proof? Prover

Inside the cryptohunt some checkpoints are hidden. Checkpoints are codes that can be sent to @hidden-block. This is communicated to all searchers. Most of the time Prover will still share some possibly important information with the searchers.
With the help of the checkpoints you will get an idea how far the hunt has progressed. In addition, one or two checkpoint postings may contain information relevant to your search.

XooX

This bird tells you about how the seekers do and especially how the treasure changes. XooX might also stop by the seekers and leave a comment or two.

Towel

Towel, our golden boy. There is only one thing to say about him: When he is free again, this hunt is over. So if you should ever see Towel without bars, there will be a lucky finder.

Honeypots

The joys of life on the road. When you see this picture you are very close to a small contribution.

Support the Cryptohunt with upvotes and donations | Time feeds the treasure

Once this is naturally possible with voluntary donations. Supporters, who want to boost the ambition of the participants, can send donations to @hidden-block. The treasure hunters will enjoy it. If you only want to participate passively in the crypto hunt, I ask you to use a memo with the content "Donation", which is publicly available. This is important to distinguish between passive donations and the unlocking of buddy hints.

Furthermore you automatically support the crypto-hunt with your Upvotes! After payout of the respective contributions, the liquid rewards will be transferred to @hidden-block to increase the motivation of the participants. This means in consequence that the treasure should grow over time, as long as no one is able to find the clues. Of course the buddy hints also expand the treasure, as described above. Once again, I explicitly ask: All transactions should be directed to @hidden-block. If one should land with me, I will send it back to you.

Ok, I'm ready to start! But… Where to start?

The riddle will be published shortly after this post is published. From this point on, theoretically all information necessary to find the treasure is available to the searchers.

I have put a lot of effort into creating a hunt that requires different skills. No matter if you are interested in technology, encryption expert, creative thinker or crossword solver. There is a disc for everyone. I hope that one person is not able to manage the hunt and that teams are formed to hunt the treasure together.
We will see, I am definitely excited and look forward to giving the starting signal for this hunt after having invested a lot of time in preparation.

Regarding the duration of the crypto hunt, there is no limit. Due to the interactivity, new clues will show the searchers the way, if they get stuck.
Sooner or later a happy finder should surprise us with the message that the hunt has come to an end. The hunt finds its end in the moment when an action on @hidden-block, after the hunt has started, is found. After an activity is recorded, Towel will deliver the glorious news and the hunt is officially over. "Pending" liquid rewards will only be transferred to the finder if he verifies his identity. Otherwise they will not be transferred to @hidden-block.

At this point I would like to appeal to the potential finder once again: If you find this treasure, no matter how small or big it may be in the eyes of the people, you have my greatest respect. I think the challenge is more than tricky and such a sly dog deserves a little fame? That's why I'm asking you: Write a contribution on @hidden-block and let the other participants know who was a nose ahead of them.

Well, I don't really have more to say. Of course I'm happy about participants and apart from that I'm curious if and what you deliver. I hope that my efforts will be fun for some of you or at least cost you some of your nerves.
