Today was a traffic filled day on my way to work. Not office work actually but to the site I was in two days ago.

Yeah, we still haven't finished with powering up the elevator reasons is we have to make sure everything is well put instead of rushing things out. As a popular word says, slow and steady wins the race.

I must confess, it is really hard working and at the same time trying to take pictures of everything I was doing. So there is no how I cannot be short of pictures.

First, the picture above is me in the shaft of an elevator. If you are a new reader here, then the shaft of an elevator is the pathway in which an elevator travels to different floors of a building. The main purpose being there was actually to check the landing doors of the lift. We have to make sure they were free as possible and closed well. This is necessary because if the landing doors are not properly closed, there would be an error code that would display on the drive of the lift, which is the Error 36.

As you can see the from the picture above, a colleague of mine is trying to adjust the shoe of the landing door. Some shoe parking was added to it and was tightened.

Below is a picture of the elevator shoe packing.

If you noticed, the picture above is taken at home. Yeah I didn't snap it at all when I was at home. I just thought of doing it now as I am typing this post ๐Ÿ˜‚.

I guess you all would understand how hard it is to be snapping all these while on a work because my colleagues and even my boss complains that I would be snapping every single thing I want to do ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚. Most times the issue of what is at hand makes one forget to snap it.

Next on after making sure the door was all right, it was next to configure the call buttons.

So from the picture above, the call bottom hadn't been connected. So it was just to plug it then connect it to the earth. A plier was used to unscrew the nut to contact the earth wire to ground.

In the picture below, each floors has a configuration for that. I mean where the arrow points to. I must confess, I haven't fully understood the way it is still configured which means no man is an highland of knowledge.

Anyway let's move on, after that we went to deal with the call buttons inside the elevator. So the pictures below is what you would see when you open it up, you can see the connections made there on it.

Have you ever wondered when you see an elevator door stops when you try to enter and starts thinking, how does it happen. We all know it is a sensor but have you really seen how the sensor looks like.

Check out the pictures below ๐Ÿค—

That long rectangular stick lick object can be called a door sensor or preferably a photoelectric sensor. It senses motion and they are connected to the door module which is located on the lift car top.

The door module is covered in that metal cover case where wires goes into it.

I think that's all for now. I hope you get to know or learn some new things.
