So many times I have thought, is anything truly free and doesn't come at a little prize or cost? The true answer to this is NO! except what we are getting is being provided by nature. Now, What do I mean?

We all know what Nature is, and if you don't know, here is my little description or view of nature: Nature are natural elements or constituents of Mother Earth. What do I mean by natural elements and constituents? They include the trees, plants, ocean, sea and even the air we breathe. These are the natural constituents of Mother Earth and they are only what I see that comes free.

One thing about humans is we love free things but yet, many of us do not appreciate things that comes for free. So far it is for free, the value is lost and is taken for granted. This is the most reason why many people do not appreciate nature or know it's worth.

Let's move away from nature a bit and ask this question; is there anything truly free? I doubt so. Even Hive which may seem free comes with a little effort included to make it. If anything comes free without any cost, then one needs to be suspicious about it.

You know what, I know what is going through your mind right now?

You must be probably asking thinking; What about airdrops? aren't they free?. Smiles, yeah they may probably be free but most of them, you may have to have a certain requirements to qualify for the airdrops which means they are not free as they seem. What if there are not requirement? then maybe someone else must have paid the price for it being free to get.

WHAT POINT EXACTLY AM I DRIVING TO?

I am yet to see anything that comes free without any input placed into it and though many things might look free, but yet we don't know those that pay the price for making it free.

We might get to see things for free but yet, are they free as we think it is or may end up having a scenario where we pay a bigger price for it.

Now, this comes very confusing right? The question we face now is; how do you know what to value and what to be suspicious about?

This is where our reasoning of analyzing is required. If you are getting something for free, we need to know why it is free, who is paying for it and why are they paying for it, before any value can be placed on it. This has to be considered to avoid paying a bigger price for what we think is free.

If you place your mind on the theory that things can be absolutely gotten for free without having any form of input, then you are at the risk of loses, and most eventually, ending up being scammed.

I am sure you may be able to relate this to a scenario where you have been scammed under having the thought you are getting things for free. Even me, have been scammed under the thoughts of free things.

This brings us not to rush into making quick decisions when we hear the word FREE. We often fall for making quick decisions and not spending our time to think of why it is free. Though, most of us do have a second thought when it comes to free things, but the word FREE is quite tempting and makes us quickly forget to ask questions.

If you ask yourself the right questions, then you would probably be able to distinguish what kind of FREE things to value and what to remain SUSPICIOUS about.

PLACING VALUE ON WHAT YOU GET FOR FREE

I am sure that if you have probably asked yourself the right question then you must have known which kind of FREE things to place value on but yet another question arises;

*WHY DON'T WE VALUE WHAT WE GET FOR FREE?

It is normal in human nature to not place value on something that is always available at our disposal; just like the way many take nature for granted. but instead we treasure only what we find hard to get.

*Let us take this more personally and let me share a little story...

Being a guitarist, I am usually invited to different occasions to play my guitar. On a norms, I charge a small amount if I am needed to play in a show but there was this particular time I was invited to play in a wedding occasion by a friend. I didn't request for a penny due to we knew each other and the celebrants were family to this friend of mine; I was literally offering my services for free.

When I arrived at the program, I went straight to where I could set my instrument but was told there was no space to plug in my guitar and yet, all the parts of their drums were on mic (plugged in). At the end, I wasn't able to play in the program and my presence wasn't appreciated.

I left hoping for another day to come where this friend would need me for a particular show again, and it came. Desperately looking for a guitarist for another program, he tried contacting me but I didn't make myself available. He ended up paying more to invite another guitarist from outside.

*There is saying; We Would Never Truly Value What We have Until We have Lost it.
