Greetings, everyone!

Yes, NFT Games are increasing in popularity.

Splinterlands entered the open sales phase for Chaos Legion packs, with sales above twelve million dollars in less than twelve hours.

Rising Star sees and exploding number of new players.

Ragnarok will start soon the distribution of the airdrop, and the interest is already huge.

A question which all investors should ask is where are their NFTs stored, and of course... who has control over the keys.

On HIVE, with all the games that I'm aware of, the NFTs are store on the main chain. Some games still gives you the option to create an account with an username and a password, but all give you the option to take control of your keys (and this you should do immediately).

A direct result of having the NFTs stored on the chain is that you can transfer ownership outside the game infrastructure. And what is sweet about this, is that it enables third party marketplaces that can offer better features, for smaller fees.

Looking for a better marketplace to trade some Rising Star cards, today I discovered NFTMart: a single place to trade HIVE based NFTs from various games (link: nftm.art).

Clean interface, good filtering options. In seconds, I bought 11 NFTs with STARTBITS, and same fee structure as for the native marketplace. A moment later, I had them in the game, helping in my progress through the missions. Cool!

Another interesting aspect of having the NFTs on the chain, is that third party developers could bring new games (or clones of existing games) in which you could use your own NFTs. So far this idea did not (yet) materialized on HIVE, but we are only in the early days of this industry.

Wish you great fun, and please remember: in the crypto world, if you don't have full control over your keys, certainly you are not the real owner of your assets! If you have doubts, always ask. We have a great community here to answer any kind of questions.
