MyLEOGoals Progress - Review of Month #1 - Plans for Month #2
In the MyLEOGoals initiative, we were encouraged to make goals for the year of 2023. Part of the initiative also included the monthly review and adjustment of your previous months plans.
So. Here goes.
BASELINE
On 01_01-2023 I had 69041.920 LP and was considered a Leader of the Pack. Not bad overall, but not quite satisfying to me because I have been with Leofinance from the beginning. I really should, in my opinion, be an Apex Lion.
YEARLY GOAL
In light of my aforementioned dissatisfaction, I decided to make it my yearly goal to reach 150,000 LP. I want to be an Apex Lion by 12-31-2023!
This means I have to increase my LP by 80958.08 before 12-31-2023!
LAST MONTH'S GOALS
Convert fiat/crypto into 3600 LP
I went a little bit overboard on this one. Somewhere about the middle of the month, I started to worry about how little progress I was making.
For this reason, I did the only rational thing and scraped up ALL of my spare crypto in the HIVE/CUB system and converted it to LP. I had planned to do a fairly large chunk this past month, but not as much as I did. Just got a little carried away.
I got so crazy that I really cant sort out exactly how much it even was. Probably 40,000 or so. Maybe more.
Curation - Keep Vote Power down around 70%
Unfortunately I didn't bother to track this one very precisely. I do know however, that I rarely let more than 36 hours go without taking my Vote Power down to around 70%.
This is a vast improvement for me and I probably made more votes this past month than almost any month since I have been on the blockchain.
Commenting on posts - average 150 comments/month
I really didn't think much about how I was gonna track this one. The initiating of threading makes it difficult to sort out comments on posts and comments on threads. Not impossible, but to much for me to really bother with.
My comment on posts goal was 150/month and my threads goal was 30. I did take the time to slog through and count all comments for the month. The total on posts and threads combined for the month was 190, so I am going to count that as goal met for both :-)
Posts - Goal for month was 5
Failed miserably on this one. I created one single post - which was the MyLEOGoals post from the first of the month. Sigh.
Contests
I didn't count how many I did for this goal, but it was in the multiple dozens. Success!
Threads - goal of 30

Next Months Goals
Convert fiat/crypto into LP
I shot my wad on this one and will basically fall back to converting all layer 2's and free HIVE to LEO when I can. I am not going to convert HBD earned, but place all of that into HBD savings since it gets such a good return.
Curation - Keep Vote Power down around 70%
I am going to continue on with this same goal for February.
Commenting on posts
I will keep the same goal of 150 for the month. Hopefully I can do a better job of tracking this more accurately :-)
Posts
I will keep the goal for this month at 5 in spite of my failure last month. This should be possible and I am determined to accomplish it.
Contests
I am scrapping this goal. Contests are fun and do provide some wins. The hassle factor and time consumed is just too high in my opinion. I do think if you personally have a lower HP level that they are a great way to boost your account.
I may still participate and support some contests, but I will just not make it a mission in particular.
Threads
I will increase this goal to 60. The community has deemed it important and I agree.
In general, I am going to shift my efforts into earning more LEO through posting long content, curating, and threading. I certainly have a lot of room for improvements in these areas.
Unfortunately I have used all of my dry powder. If you have dry powder however, now would be a great time to use it. The number of LEO you can get per HIVE has gone to almost 10. This is the highest it has been in a while. Get it while you can :-)
Oh yeah. Since it is time for MyLEOGoals I am going to concentrate all of my curating for the next week or so on content for the MyLEOGoals tag ;-)
