The News

Last week I posted about $HIVE going up and it did it again this week. Perhaps it can stay above 40c and get back into the top 200 on Coingecko. Be sure to visit there and give it a thumbs up. It only has 75% approval right now and ought to be better. The page has been enhanced with some nice infographics recently.

I have been on Mastodon a fair bit since Twitter deteriorated under the new management. I prefer more open platforms anyway. I have found a strong anti-crypto sentiment. I responded to a 'toot' about NFTs today and one guy got quite abusive whilst others just sent links to anti-NFT articles saying it is riddled with scams. I will not deny that crypto has its share of scams, but it also has a lot of people trying to build cool stuff and not just for personal profit. I know there is a culture of 'crypto twitter', but does it has an equivalent on the 'fediverse'? Are so-called 'cryptobros' more interested in profit than decentralisation? Obviously they could use Hive and be earning.

• @nicklewis did his own #followfriday post last week. I do not claim any exclusive rights to the tag and would love to see lots more people helping others build connections. We each have our own interests and I will miss plenty.
• @aliciamaples is a sales consultant who just joined Hive. She has lots of connections on other platforms and could help spread the word about this platform.
• I saw a story about @gubbatv building a big food store in the Metro free newspaper this week and then I found out she is on Hive and has been for a while. It shows that I do not see everything. She has another account at @gubbahomestead.
• @normie.fitness does posts about health and fitness that are always entertaining. He likes to dispel some of the myths about what is good for us.
• @psyberx are posting some videos of their Hive-based first person shooter on @cast.garden.
• @stickupofficial1 have been posting progress on their new recording studio. I love this sort of thing, but it may be a niche interest.
• @modernzorker is into games and comics.

These all get a share of the post rewards.

As usual near the end of the month I am looking out for people to add to the #britlist. I have found a few more and am checking that some of them are legitimate. I want to see big growth in Hivers in the UK this year with lots of meet-ups. If you need help compiling lists for your country then let me know as I have scripts that could be useful.
