By migrating some of its most critical workloads to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Uber will be able to modernize its infrastructure while improving profitability more quickly.

Uber continues to revolutionize the way people and services move around cities. Uber ensures that a good cloud service provider will help them maximize innovation and reduce infrastructure overhead. Oracle will provide them with an ideal combination of price, performance and security to help them offer better customer service.

Uber is transforming into a go-anywhere, get-anything platform, and it needed a cloud partner that shared its goals. This key competitive victory for Oracle reaffirms the momentum and acceleration it is experiencing in the marketplace. Organizations, governments and startups around the world are recognizing the importance of Cloud Infrastructure and enjoying its performance, security and better price.

Along with the adoption of OCI, this strategic alliance includes other areas of collaboration between the two companies. Oracle will become a global customer of Uber for Business, making Uber the preferred transportation network for Oracle employees when traveling and eating.

This new alliance with Uber, along with some recent analyst reports, provide powerful support for Oracle's product vision and strategy.

Building on this cloud partnership, Uber and Oracle will also continue to co-innovate other solutions for retail and delivery, including consumer experiences with last-mile logistics.
