How many ounces of gold will you need to pay off your mortgage?

Here's a fun experiment - let's work out how much gold you would need to pay off your mortgage if the sh1t really hit the fan and your currency collapsed (even more)!

Divide your current mortgage balance by the price per ounce.

How does it look? How many ounces? Wishing you'd started stacking sooner...? I sure do 😂

Now, it could get more interesting if there was a real currency blow-out as you would expect the price of gold in your currency to rifle upwards - in which case you wouldn't need as much...

Or it might just be that your Government initiates a complete currency reset into a new central bank digital coin and that all debt gets left behind in the (now) worthless old currency - wouldn't that be nice as you'd barely need to touch your gold stack to pay it off.

Who knows what might happen...? One thing looks for sure and that's that we're headed for a shake-out, one way or another!
