Read this important life advice from legendary investor Warren Buffet.

If you can't see it or download it, allow me to summarise:

Buffet was asked by some chap how he should plan his life. Buffet responded that he should make a list of the top 25 things that he wanted to get out of life. His main priorities.

He should then sort them from most important (number 1) to least important (number 25).

Once done, he should focus on arranging his time around this list of Top 5 priorities. So far, so good.

What Buffet suggested next is unexpected....

For the remaining 20 things that had been listed as what the guy wanted to get out of life, he didn't say, "find some spare time outside of your top five priorities to fit them in" as you might expect. In fact, he advised quite the opposite.

He advised that for the other 20 priorities he should:

Actively avoid them at all costs - because they're the ambitions insufficiently important to him to form the core of his life yet seductive enough to distract him from the ones that matter the most.

That's not what I expected to hear, yet so fundamental.

Whether this story is actually true or not, it is worth pondering...
