Greetings Lions! It's the middle of the month again, so time to stake some LEO! And as always, if you do it today (to-day) you'll even be eligible for winning some amazing prizes at the monthly LPUD contest organized by @leogrowth. Go ahead and check out their original post for details. Unlike in the previous LEO Power-Up Days this time you don't even have to stake 200 LEO to participate. The minimum amount is only 150 LEO now!

Passive Income for Indefinite Participation

As I explained in my previous LPUD post, my goal is to have sufficient LEO to power up in all subsequent LPUDs, indefinitely. In other words, I would like to have a passive income of 200 LEO every month (though this seems to have gone down to 150 LEO - even better). Since my blogging usually is not finance / crypto / investment focused, I have to find another way to generate such a passive income. So the logical conclusion is by delegating (since there are not that many other options - yet.)

The two curation services I have delegated so far are @leo-curator on one hand with 5,000 LeoPower, and @leo.bounties on the other hand (via @leo.voter), which I have delegated 2,000 HivePower to. Last month I remember praising the former for generating so much more return than the latter, but now that I'm looking at the LEO history on HiveEngine, I'm not so sure about it any more. My estimated rewards of 15 LEO a day did not happen. As you can see, my rewards from both places look almost comparable, though I do not get them every single day! And honestly, so far I have not even found a pattern to the (ir)regularity of when these rewards come in. Still I have no reason to complain, as I have received 198 LEO in total since the last #lpud on July 15th, so just under my stated goal of 200.

Diversified Delegation With India-Leo

So what's next? Am I just going to power up 150 LEO to fulfill the minimum requirements? I could still delegate that LEO power to @leo-curator again, so that maybe next time I would pass the 200 LEOs? I could...! But then there is another idea: In my first LPUD post where I was discussing delegations, I received a comment from @india-leo that they also have a curation service. So why not? Let's see how they compare. Let's go India! (The fact that today is the 75th anniversary of Indian independence is just a cool fact, seemingly supporting all this.) And to do that objectively, I really should delegate them the same amount of 5,000 LP. Do I even have that much? I actually do!

Okay, so even if @india-leo doesn't turn out that lucrative, I can still take back my delegation. However, I still should have enough LEO coming in to stake 200 LEO in September. In fact, there is even close to another thousand liquid LEO in my wallet, just to be safe. But in any case, having the same amount delegated to both services will give me a great comparison... unlike with @leo.bounties which is HP based, so the conversion factor throws everything off a bit.

Going from 200 LEO in June, to 500 LEO in July, to 5,000 LEO in August sure seem like humongous leaps. I will not be able to continue at this rate... well, not even next month. However, I will secure a steady income of LEO for all subsequent LPUDs, while supporting the entire ecosystem for the long run. And then at the next #lpud I will see what kind of steady passive income I have, how much of it I want to keep delegating, if so to whom, and what else I want to do with my LEOs. Exciting times!
