The Plagiarism Hunter - @badbitch is on the case!
This evening I was browsing through a few of the top posts on @leofinance, when I can across a post by @badbitch titled "Spent Last 1 Hour Hunting Plagiarism On Leofinance - I found myself a new job".
It is a very good read. If you are interested in checking it out, I have included a link to it below:
@badbitch - Hunting Plagiarism Post
At the time of writing this post, @badbitch had 164 upvotes, 65 comments, 3 reblogs and 87.74 LEO. There was 1 downvote, but that was from the key subject called out in his post for plagiarism.
I really enjoyed the read and got a lot of value out of this post. I recommend reading and upvoting @badbitch. I just gave my 100% upvote.
Plagiarism Hunter
The main topic that @badbitch talks about is hunting down plagiarism within the community and how some members of the community are guilty of their content being 98% plagiarised, but attempting to publish it as their own original work.
In the post, @badbitch shared a website tool that can be used as a plagiarism checker. The link to the website tool is https://smallseotools.com/plagiarism-checker/.
I was very excited when I saw the link to the tool, so I decided to check it out and put my latest post to the test.
- I copied the link from my post 'appreciation of silver and hive through words and photography'
- Pasted it into the SmallSEQTools plagiarism checker.
- Then clicked on the big blue 'Check Plagiarism' button and waited.
It took a couple moments to process the results, but eventually the results appeared on the screen.
The Results
I am happy to report that my latest post got the following results:
- Unique Rating: 97%
- Plagiarism Rating: 3%
Closer Analysis
-
When I analysed the results a bit closer, I realised that one of the sentences they penalised me for was actually a sentence from one of my previous posts on HIVE from a few days ago.
-
The other sentence that they penalised me for was a very generic phrase that is commonly used i.e. "look back on them in the weeks, months and years ahead".
All in all, I was very happy with the results and I will definitely utilise this plagiarism checker tool in the future to pre-check my content to ensure it comes back with a satisfactory Unique Rating before I publish my content.
Thanks @badbitch for your post and pointing me in the direction of this very helpful tool.
