Well, as most of the dCitizens know, 1st edition cards are out of print.

Except for this...

...but for the most part 1st is only available on the market now and 3rd edition cards are imminent.

That brings me to this contest put on by dCity #boss, @d-pend. Here is the info from @d-pend's post

So head on over to @d-pend's post for all the details and to enter.

Now, let's talk about the big dCity update that includes 3rd edition cards and SO MUCH MORE.

First of all, to get all the (known) details of the update head over to this post by @ecoinstant, another dCity #boss and the winner of this dCity coffee mug.

My strategy up to this point has been pretty straight-forward, keep population low enough as to not lose any income to social support costs and reinvest my daily payout in more cards.
Occasionally I sell cards or do a giveaway or trade with other players but mostly it's just balance and reinvest.

I'm sure I could advance faster but this kind of game is not easy for me, in that I am not a math guy, my eyes go crossed when I see folks talking about percentages, multipliers, yield...In fact, every @dcitygame post starts with this

Dcity is mathematical and trading game based on non fungible tokens available on Hive-Engine. Players build they own cities with tokens representing buildings, citizens, technologies, and earn income in form of hive(based on ranking) and SIM token(based on city income). There are also cards that player can get only from playing game like technologies, backgrounds.

Regardless of that (and my mathematical struggles) it is a super fun game XD

After reading the update info I see now is the time I will have to make some decisions, mainly which direction to take my city. The update will include combined cards, in other words, combine a bunch of cards in a specific recipe to make a new, mega-card with it's own stats.
I like this idea quite a bit but do not think it is prudent to just combine every card possible to make all these different combined cards and this is where I need to make a decision, which combined cards will be best for my city?

I have tried to look these over and have an idea of what I may do but until they are a reality I'm not quite sure which direction I will go with this.

Next up are the cards that can now be loaded with certain types of citizens. From @ecoinstant's post

I believe I will be loading up all the building I can as this seems like a great way to use some of those pesky population cards that seem to cost a bigger city in social costs at the moment. Real excited for this facet of the game.

Lastly, the mug is gone but I do have some dCity stickers to send out to a few folks FOR FREE so if you are interested let me know here and DM me an address in discord and I'll send one your way.

Have a great weekend!!
