NHL "pauses" season in North America
National Hockey League Commissioner Gary Bettman on Thursday released the following statement regarding the 2019-20 NHL season:
"In light of ongoing developments resulting from the coronavirus, and after consulting with medical experts and convening a conference call of the Board of Governors, the National Hockey League is announcing today that it will pause the 2019-20 season beginning with tonight's games."
Well, the dominoes are falling here in North America in regards to the corona virus related cancelations and whether or not the measures are an overreaction or to little to late I really feel bad for all the folks who rely on these industries to put bread on the table.
So with the NHL season on "pause" so is the contest. If there is some kind of resolution and this season continues I hope to have the contest but only time will tell.
