Now, my intention is that this writing can be understood by anyone who reads it, be it a housewife, a worker, a student, or simply someone who wants to learn more about cryptocurrencies. So, to achieve this goal, I consider that the first thing I must explain is:

We define it as the Hive stable coin, that is, a currency backed by the capacity of the blockchain whose value change does not depend on trust, but on the ability of Hive to transform through an HBD algorithm into cryptography Hive.
To put it even easier to understand, it is a kind of digital dollar backed not by an amount in deposits of effective dollars, such as USDT, for example, but the backing of this currency is the operation of the Hive BlockChain itself.

Well, as many know, the value of coins changes in relation to the part of the world where they are used, exactly the same thing happens with the HBD, not because of the price of the coin itself, but because of the value of the legal tender for which it is exchanged in the local economy of a country.
In my case, I must make the change to the local currency that is currently called Bolívar Digital, which is the legal tender in Venezuela, a currency that emerged after many economic problems and several currency reconversions, which eliminated 14 zeros, yes, it is reading well, it's not a joke, the currency was worth so little that they had to remove 14 zeros from the printing of banknotes.
There are two main exchange houses, to make the conversions quickly from HBD and HIVE to Bolívar Digital, they are Orinoco.io and Capibara Exchange, both have different exchange rates and functionally different methods. Here I show you their exchange rates as of today.

It is no secret that the economy of Venezuela has had many problems in recent years for multiple reasons, which I do not want to detail. However, it is important to highlight that we have gone through constant, accelerated, and sustained inflation that reached its maximum expression in mid-2015 when we were crushed by the most exponential inflation on record in the history of the world economy.
The difficulty was so serious and the currency was losing value at such a speed that merchants no longer published the prices of the products, because they had to calculate it at the time of purchase, and yes, it is not a fantasy, the same product could change its price. Price up to 5 times in a single day.
This phenomenon almost completely stopped the country's productive apparatus, thousands of companies closed, and any number of jobs were lost, impoverishing a large part of the population, and opening a gigantic gap from the point of view of social inequality.
Practically two large groups were created in society in an improvised way and pressured by the dynamics of the economy, a group with large incomes in US dollars, which benefited greatly from everything that was happening, and the other group, which was impoverished to catastrophic levels every hour, as all of their income and assets were in the local currency.
Currently, there is relative calm in the economy, but the disparity remains and deepens, in my opinion, there is no certainty when purchasing power will be able to recover, but in recent days, it seems, that the eye of the hurricane has advanced into the storm and inflation begins to loom again like a monster from a recurring nightmare.
For reasons like this, investing in a stable currency like the HBD can keep the assets of many people safe, and even its growth as a means of payment in local transactions can greatly benefit commercial growth and the gradual recovery of purchasing power. Of the working class, which has been hit hard and tries to recover by using the American dollar as a physical currency in an improvised way.
At present, there are, so to speak, two types of wages for workers: the official minimum wage, which is 30 US dollars or its equivalent in local currency, which is practically nothing, and the wage that is empirically agreed between worker and employer, which is the only way that someone can at least receive a real income that allows them to eat and live, this is said to be in the order of 70 to 80 US dollars per month.

Well, not much, but it would help a lot, mainly to improve the way my family eats, an additional income of at least $100 would allow me to cover many recurring expenses, and allocate the money that I currently spend on it, to be able to buy better food and more quantity. Currently, I have no provisions, I only live from day to day buying little by little, with what we produce to be able to survive in a very difficult economy.
I hope with this simple post, I have provided you with an overview of the real value of HBD in the economy of my country, and the difficult conditions that we must survive without exaggerating, even if it is difficult to understand for someone who lives in another country, and he is not familiar with how destructive inflation and the fall in the real income of workers can become.
This is undoubtedly a question that cannot be answered precisely because it depends on many factors, but we can get quite close to a general idea of what an average family of 3 people requires in order to have a fairly acceptable standard of living.
The magic figure of 500 HBD can be very close to what is needed to eat fairly well for 3 people, pay for services, and some extra expenses for a month. For this, I will try to show you the costs of some basic products, and their expression in dollars, so that you can get an idea of the high cost of living than someone who lives in Venezuela must face on a daily basis earning in digital bolivars, but having to pay all the products in US dollars, which is an atrocious economic perversion, which abysmally reduces their purchasing power.
For you to understand me better, my current total monthly income is not more than 100 US$, and that's doing literally everything I can to earn extra money, that's why debts are constantly piling up, and some of them go up uncontrollably, like for example the condo in my building that went from $3 a month to $20 in two years, so I simply can't afford it anymore, because I have to choose between paying for the condo or eating, and the decision is obvious.
Life is so expensive for someone who earns in Bolívar that making a sandwich is a luxury, preparing a dinner for 3 people, with bread, ham, cheese, tomato, and sauces can cost you about 17 USD $ or whatever it is the same, more than half of the official minimum wage for a month.

La importancia del valor del HBD en una Economía con Inflación
Saludos amigos de la manada de Leo Finance, hoy les traigo un post especial en ocasión de participar en el concurso de @leogrowth , donde nos propone realizar una investigación sobre el valor que tiene en nuestra localidad el HBD.
Me parece una excelente iniciativa, que permitirá apreciar como una estable coin como el HBD puede mantenerse amigable económicamente hablando a pesar de los embates de la económica local, y mucho más en el caso del HBD, que recientemente debió poner a prueba su fortaleza con la terrible caída que sufrieron los precios de las criptomonedas a nivel mundial.
Ahora bien, como mi intención es que este escrito pueda ser entendido por cualquier persona que lo lea, bien sea un ama de casa, un trabajador, un estudiante o simplemente alguien que quiere aprender más sobre criptomonedas. Entonces, para lograr este objetivo, considero que lo primero que debo explicar es:

¿Qué es el HBD o Hive Backed Dollars y cuál es su valor mundial?
Lo definimos como la moneda estable de Hive, es decir, una moneda respaldada por la capacidad de la cadena de bloques cuyo cambio de valor, no depende de la confianza, sino de la capacidad de Hive para transformar por medio de un algoritmo HBD en criptografía Hive.
Para decirlo aún más fácil de entender, es una especie de dólar digital respaldado no por una suma en depósitos de dólares efectivos, como sería por ejemplo el USDT, sino que el respaldo de esta moneda es el propio funcionamiento de Hive BlockChain.
Sin duda es un medio de pago interesante que con el tiempo sé ira masificando como alternativa económica a los medios tradicionales, sobre todo en economías inestables como la de mi país, donde ya existen negocios que directamente aceptan el HBD como forma de pago.
¿Cuánto es el valor del HBD en la economía local?
Bueno, como muchos saben, el valor de las monedas cambia en relación con la parte del mundo donde se utilicen, con el HBD pasa exactamente lo mismo, no por el precio en sí de la moneda, sino por el valor del billete de curso legal por la cual se intercambia en la economía local de un país.
En mi caso, debo hacer el cambio a la moneda local que actualmente se llama Bolívar Digital, que es la de curso legal en Venezuela, una moneda que surgió después de muchos problemas económicos y varias reconversiones monetarias, que eliminaron 14 ceros, sí, está leyendo bien, no es una broma, la moneda valía tan poco que debieron eliminar 14 ceros de la impresión de billetes.
Existen dos principales casas de cambio, para hacer las conversiones de manera rápida de los HBD y HIVE al Bolívar Digital, ellas son Orinoco.io y Capivara.io ambas tienen tasas de cambio diferentes y métodos funcionalmente distintos.
La economía de Venezuela, salario promedio, inflación y las ventajas de usar HBD
No es un secreto que la economía de Venezuela, ha tenido muchos problemas en los últimos años por causas múltiples, las cuales no quiero detallar. Sin embargo, es importante resaltar que hemos atravesado por una inflación constante, acelerada y sostenida que alcanzó su máxima expresión a mediados del 2015, cuando fuimos aplastados por la inflación más exponencial de la que se tenga registro en la historia de la economía mundial.
El problema era tan grave y la moneda perdía valor a tal velocidad que los comerciantes ya no publicaban los precios de los productos, porque debían calcularlo al momento de la compra, y es que sí, no es una fantasía, un mismo producto podía cambiar de precio hasta 5 veces en un solo día.
Este fenómeno detuvo casi por completo el aparato productivo del país, miles de empresas cerraron, y cualquier cantidad de puestos de empleos se perdieron, empobreciendo a gran parte de la población, y abriéndose una brecha gigantesca desde el punto de vista de la desigualdad social.
Se crearon en la sociedad prácticamente dos grandes grupos de manera improvisada y presionados por la dinámica propia de la economía, un grupo con grandes ingresos en dólares americanos, que se beneficiaba muchísimo de todo lo que estaba pasando, y el otro grupo, que se empobrecía a niveles catastróficos cada hora, ya que todos sus ingresos y activos estaban en la moneda local.
En la actualidad hay una calma relativa en la economía, pero la disparidad se mantiene y se profundiza, en mi opinión no existe una certeza de cuando se podrá recuperar el poder adquisitivo, pero en los últimos días, parece, que el ojo del huracán avanzo hacia la tormenta y la inflación comienza a asomarse nuevamente como un monstruo de una pesadilla recurrente.
Por razones como esta, la inversión en una moneda estable como el HBD puede mantener a salvo los activos de muchas personas, e incluso su crecimiento como medio de pago en transacciones locales, puede beneficiar en gran medida el crecimiento comercial y recuperación paulatina del nivel adquisitivo de la clase trabajadora, la cual ha sido muy golpeada y trata de recuperarse utilizando el dólar americano como moneda física de manera improvisada.
En la actualidad existen por decirlo de alguna manera dos tipos de salarios para los trabajadores, el sueldo mínimo oficial que es de 30 dólares americanos o su equivalente en moneda local, lo cual es prácticamente nada, y el sueldo que es acordado de manera empírica entre trabajador y empleador, que es la única manera de que alguien puede al menos recibir un ingreso real que le permita comer y vivir, este se dice esta por el orden de los 70 a 80 dólares americanos mensuales.
¿Cuántos HBD necesita tu familia para tener una buena vida?
Esta sin duda es una pregunta que no se puede responder con exactitud, porque depende de muchos factores, pero podemos acercarnos bastante a una idea general de lo que una familia promedio de 3 personas requiere para poder tener un nivel de vida medianamente aceptable.
La cifra mágica de 500 HBD, puede estar muy cerca de lo que se necesita para comer medianamente bien 3 personas, pagar los servicios y algunos gastos extras por un mes. Para ello intentaré mostrarle los costos de algunos productos básicos, y su expresión en dólares, para que puedan hacerse una idea del alto costo de la vida que debe enfrentar a diario alguien que vive en Venezuela ganando en bolívares digitales, pero teniendo que pagar todos los productos en dólares americanos, lo que supone una perversión económica atroz, que merma abismalmente su capacidad de compra.
Para que me entiendan mejor, mis ingresos totales actuales mensuales no superan los 100 $ americanos, y eso haciendo literalmente de todo lo que pueda para ganar dinero extra, por eso las deudas se acumulan constantemente, y algunas suben de manera desmedida, como por ejemplo el condominio de mi edificio que paso en dos años de 3 dólares al mes a 20 $ dólares, por lo que sencillamente ya no puedo pagarlo, porque debo escoger entre pagar el condominio o comer y pues la decisión es obvia.
La vida es tan costosa para alguien que gana en Bolívares que hacerse un sándwich es todo un lujo, preparar una cena para 3 personas, con pan, jamón, queso, tomate y salsas puede llegar a costarte cerca de 17 USD$ o lo que es lo mismo, más de la mitad del sueldo mínimo oficial de un mes.
¿Qué harías con 100 HBD al mes?
Pues no mucho, pero ayudaría bastante, principalmente a mejorar la forma de comer de mi familia, un ingreso adicional de al menos 100 $ me permitiría subsanar muchos gastos recurrentes, y destinar el dinero que actualmente gasto en ello, para poder comprar mejor comida y más cantidad. Actualmente, no tengo provisiones, yo solo vivo del día a día comprando de poquito en poquito, con lo que producimos para poder sobrevivir en una economía muy difícil.
Espero con este sencillo post, haberles proporcionado una visión general del valor real del HBD en la economía de mi país, y las difíciles condiciones a las que debemos sobrevivir sin hacer exageraciones, aunque sea complicado de entender para alguien que vive en otro país, y no está familiarizado con lo destructivo que puede llegar a convertirse la inflación y la caída del ingreso real de los trabajadores.
