A Peer-to-peer energy trading block-chain platform from Mitsubishi

A new block-chain based energy trading system has been developed by Mitsubishi Electric Corporation and the Tokyo Institute of Technology. It was designed from the ground up to allow domestic and commercial energy producers to trade their excess energy production at competitive prices.

Regular computers can be used as opposed to high-performance units to link the consumers to producers.
