This is the year of massive success.
This is the year of Hive.
This is 2022.

I’ll start this brand new year off properly. And by that I’m of course referring to posting a massive Hive Goals posts while most are lying hungover in bed, longing for that delicious Hive Pizza to be delivered to their door.

As always, I have many goals. Too many goals. This makes me like the lone soldier trying to defend the entire wall by himself. This year’s going to be different. This year I’m the hyper focused commando, striking deftly and with great care.

As I’ve said earlier, I’m working on getting better at focusing on a few great projects rather than being a random cryptic dabbler, jack of all tokens, master of all and no coins.

This year I’ve structured my goals a lot more clearly. A clear vision for the bright future. I’m typing this proclamation with a dignified sense of haste in my fingertips, as the rockets for the moon will blast off sooner than anyone might think.

Eyes skywards.

Let’s take a look at what I’m planning.

Primary Objectives

This year I have two primary objectives that I want to reach. I’ve done some rough calculations and they seem reachable, but will require time and resources invested. The future will tell if I’ll reach them this year.

Reaching Dolphin Rank

Just basically a month ago I reached the HiveBuzz rank of Minnow. Now I want to become an even bigger fish.

To reach the rank of Dolphin, I need to accumulate 10,000,000 vests, as far as I understand the ranks. If my calculations are correct, this translates to around 5,200 HP.

Reaching this rank is basically completely cosmetic and based mainly on my vanity and my borderline obsession with achievement badges. The rank is cosmetic, but having invested such a high amount of HP is not cosmetic. This leads straight into my next primary objective.

Earn 1 HIVE Per Day

The one token here on Hive that I’m absolutely most bullish on is, no surprise, the HIVE token itself. As long as the Hive blockchain exists, I believe you’ll be very happy that you hold a lot of HIVE (or HP).

I’d like to be able to earn 1 full HIVE each and every day, consistently and passively. I know that one HIVE per day is not much, but it’s a start and a very clear milestone to reach.

Also, I want to earn this one HIVE per day from completely passive income assets that will have the best chance to retain their value. What I don’t want to do is to invest in some shitcoin project that’ll earn me some rewards and after a few months go completely belly up.

Basically and ideally, I’d love to earn the 1 HIVE from HP delegations. This would mean that I wouldn’t have to invest in some risky second layer tokens that might go bust any day, and that the assets that’s earning me my one HIVE would have a very good chance of going up in value itself.

On top of that, HP delegations are incredibly easy to shift focus with, meaning that in the far future I’d be a lot more agile. If I feel that I have enough HIVE (as if that’s possible to have) and I’d like to earn some other token than HIVE (partially or fully), I can easily change the weight of my delegations into other tribe curation projects, such as or .

Some rough calculations based on my current HP delegations has indicated that I need around 5000 HP delegated out to passively earn back 1 HIVE each and every day (of course there are some fluctuations in the curation rewards received, though).

I have based this only on the fact that I’m currently delegating out 50HP each to @curangel, @qurator, and @ocdb and each one of the is rewarding me around 0.01 HIVE every day. Thus, to reach 1 HIVE I need to 100x my current delegations to reach that goal, which would be 5000 HP.

So around 5000 HP for Dolphin rank and around 5000 HP delegated out for earning 1 HIVE a day. These two goals go hand in hand, and will be my primary objectives.

My other main source of earning HIVE will be through owning ARCHONM miner tokens. This is a second layer project, but I love the Archon community, ARCHON, and ARCHONM. These miners are limited to 1000, hard cap. They mine Archon, they drip a few other great tokens, and they also have a chance of mining a small amount of HIVE every hour. I’ll be adding to my ARCHONM too, and in combination with the curation rewards received from my delegated HP, I’m hoping to reach the earning goal of 1 HIVE per day at least by the end of 2022.

Token Goals

There are so many great projects and tokens on the second layer of Hive. As stated, I already have my main objectives staked out, and I need to focus my very best to now get distracted by the second layer market, while still being able to invest a little into the projects that I’m truly a fan of.

INDEX Token

I do completely love this investment token. You can read l lot more about it here. It works like this:
*The HE-Index is 100% backed by the tokens it represents. That means if the token represents 1000 LEO tokens, it will hold 1000 LEO tokens!

We regularly review all the top performing tokens within Hive-Engine and select the top tokens to represent the token. This is based on volume averages over the history of each token for a set time.

For every INDEX purchased, a weight is given to the individual tokens represented, INDEX then purchases the corresponding weight of each token.*

I’m planning to add aggressively to my holding in INDEX this year.

ONEUP, SPT, and LEO

I won’t go into too much details in this posts, but these three are three of my absolute favorite second layer tribal tokens and three favorite tribes. I respect and trust the people behind them and there’s always something new and exciting happening with them. I think that holding a lot of these tokens will serve me greatly in the long run, and so I’ll add more of these tokens whenever I find myself with extra unallocated resources.

Blockchain Gaming

I’ll just speak shortly about my plans for blockchain gaming. Most of my gaming plans are easily summed up in a few sentences, though the actual roadmaps for getting there are usually more complex. I’m planning to elaborate more on each plan in separate upcoming posts.

There are rumors, both confirmed and some speculated, about some interesting gaming projects coming up, but I’ll stick to the few core games that I’m playing or actually working to get involved with.

Splinterlands

Due to my limited time, I’ve almost stopped playing Splinterlands, but this game is incredibly great by itself and it boosts the entire Hive blockchain. So I’m planning on continuing to invest into the game, as heavily as I can keeping in mind that it’s not my primary objective.

I’ll mainly focus on my card rental strategy. Im trying to invest mainly in Rare and Epic Gold Foil cards to rent out to other players, and this earns me DEC (Dark Energy Crystals) in return.

As the year long SPS Airdrop is still in full swing, I’m also trying to build up any assets that are earning me SPS. So I’m building up my Collection Power and I’m trying to scoop up SPT tokens (which are then delegated out to earn me even more SPT tokens).

Currently I’m undecided on how to spend the DEC that I’m earning. It’s by no means much (30-50 DEC a day depending on rental prices). Either I’ll just keep collecting it to get points for the SPS Airdrop, or I’ll reinvest in more cards to rent out. If you have any wise advice regarding this, please drop a comment!

Rising Star

In Rising Star I’ll keep working towards becoming a STARBITS Millionaire.

I’ve set a challenge rule (or a strong guideline, at least) for myself to not invest external funds here. I’d like to be able to earn this 1,000,000 STARBITS that’s needed only from in-game activities and a bit from selling off tokens (earned here in Hive) on the exchanges. This means that this goal might take a while, but it also means that it won’t interfere with my primary objectives.

dCity

I’m not currently involved with dCity, but my goal is to get started with it soon. Same as with Rising Star, no external funds will be invested.

Currently I’m gathering up SIM tokens to be able to afford a few NFTs that are needed to being playing the game and building my city.

The SIM that I’m earning currently comes from a few investment tokens that I’m bullish on, regardless of specifically the SIM token drip. Mainly I hold DHEGDE and INDEX and they are dripping SIM, among other tokens. I’ll invest more into both of these investment tokens during this year.

Other Goals

Hive SBI

I’m trying to post a few good quality posts a week, along with smaller progress report posts, which means I’m posting almost every day. I’m planning to keep this phase for quite some time. Having more Hive SBI shares will make sure that I’m earning an more steady income from my posts.

Compiled from the Hive SBI FAQ: Hive Stake Based Income (Hive SBI) is a social experiment to bring a voluntary crowdfunded basic income to as many Hivers as possible. Members join by sponsoring others into the program. Hive SBI is delivered through providing regular upvotes to member content.

[…] You can simply send 1 HIVE (or more - whole numbers only, no fractional units will be allocated) to @steembasicincome and include someone else's account name as the transaction memo.

Both you and your [sponsor] get one Hive SBI unit for each HIVE sent for sponsorship!

This means that if I want to sponsor you with 1 unit of Hive SBI, both you and me will each receive one Hive SBI each, thus helping us both build a larger amount of Hive SBI shares and enameling us both to earn from the program.

To start off this objective, I’m planning to hold a contest where several authors can win Hive SBI shares, to spread some awareness about this program. This contest will happen later this spring, when I have resources (HIVE) to spare.

Well, I think we reached the end of my goals. As always, goals might change when fundamentals in reality and markets change, but this is my roadmap to get me closer to where I want to be.

What are your Hive goals for 2022?
