Both monsters have same speed, but why the hell it attacks first? You

If you lose, you lose. But sometimes, losing because of certain attack sequence is very heartbreaking. You saw the last monsters battling and in your mind 'Yeah, I got this. He's doomed now.'. A few seconds later, the above quoted sentence came out of your mouth.

You are not alone. Let's discuss attack sequence / order in this post.

ATTACK SEQUENCE / ORDER

01. SPEED

Speed, symbolized by blue circle with the Greek's God of speed, Hermes' Boots (CMIIW) on top, is the first and most important parameter which determines the order of the attack. Simple enough, monsters with higher speed will attack first in a battle.
If there are monsters with the same speed count, the next parameter below will determines the attack sequence.

02. ATTACK TYPE

The monsters' attack type will determines the sequence which will attack first if they both have the same speed stats.
Magic type monsters will always attack first, followed by Range type monsters and Melee type monsters.
What if both monsters have the same speed stats and attack type?
Then the next deciding factor will be card rarity.

03. CARD RARITY

If the monsters' speed stats and attack type are the exact same,
now it comes for the card rarity to become
the deciding factor to which monster will attack first.

Legendary monsters will attack first,
followed by Epic monsters, Rare monsters,
and Common monsters respectively.

They were called Legendary for a reason, you know.

Let's imagine when both monsters have the
same speed stats, attack type, and also
rarity, what's the next parameter to decide
which monster attack first?

04. CARD LEVEL

Your monsters' card level will be the next deciding factor for whichever monster attack first. Needless to say, higher level monster will attack first, then followed by lower lever monsters.

If in a case when all those four factors are the same, then the final factor will be RNG.

05. RANDOMNESS

Randomness or RNG (Random Number Generator) is the last factor if above factors cannot decide which monster to attack first. Luck is always a factor in a game anyway.

Fun fact : More than 75% of gamers always think that they are not lucky - A pessimistic gamer
