If anyone told me 15 years ago that at some point in my life I was gonna be a crypto maniac, buying photos cartoons with hope that they'll land me a fortune, creating art from my bedroom that can be purchased from anywhere in the world and constantly looking for the next big crypto project to invest I'd most likely tell the person they were wrong about me because my childhood dream was to become an astronaut in the future. Pretty tight right?? Well, I was tired of hearing the "Doctor, Lawyer and Engineer" options and felt being an astronaut was way more cooler than all that.

Well, the dream to become an astronaut kinda ended when I realised my environment couldn't help me achieve that dream and we weren't that buoyant to migrate to a country where that dream could have been a reality. So as a kid, I had no choice but to utilize the opportunities that were available to me and the other kids in my country.

My crypto journey began about 5 years ago as a I searched the Internet for opportunities that weren't available to most youths in my country. The unemployment rate was pretty high and starting a business was the only option most people had, but this business can't be one that depended on the epileptic electricity situation in the country. I found crypto when it was a form of payment for a scam platform that I felt was an investment platform due to my ignorance. We got scammed at the end of the day, but I kept sticking around till I found Hive (Steem).

Well, long story short, I've never quite thought crypto would be as enjoyable as it is right now. I went into day trading in my early days and lost a couple bucks trading shitcoins in the bear market, but after a while, I realised my best bet was to just buy and hold till I was in profit. The duration of my holding time has increased over the years and while I'm still learning to become a better investor, I've diversified into other things like blogging on the the blockchain and NFTs.

Yeah, I'm pretty far from being an astronaut right now, but like many crypto investors, I've been lucky to have been taken "to the moon" a couple times by some projects. Although desirable, that's really not the part I find most interesting. The aspect I find most interesting and intriguing about cryptos are the endless opportunities they create for everyone 24/7. The journey was pretty tough at the beginning but I'm glad cryptos have had positive impacts in my life in a way I never dreamed of.
