The reputation of the crypto space for being the safe haven of crime, scams and other fraudulent activities hasn't changed in over a decade of the existence of cryptos. As a matter of fact, there has been a parabolic increase in scams and dubious activities in the cryptos space over the years which has kinda made every person in this space very cautious of their activities to avoid being scammed or getting hacked.
This issue has led to top crypto firms like Binance and Circle to launch a new community crypto-related scam reporting platform called Chainabuse. I love the name but the way as it easily gives an idea to anyone what it's meant for. The platform gives its users the ability to report scams and hacks in the crypto space to notify other users of the cryptos platforms and to avoid casualties of these fraudulent activities.
It current gives access to reports scams and hacks related to Bitcoin, Ethereum, Binance, Solana,Tron, Polygon and Hedera. The reports can be rated by other users by updating and downvoting depending on the quality of the report. So far there has been over 600 reported scams and hacks on the platform with over a 100 crypto related scams linked to Ukraine crisis (Ukraine seems to be the focus of some scammers recently because many sammers realised people have been sympathetic towards the country and would do love to ease the crisis in anyway they could through fundraising).
People can also interact and drop comments on reported scams and hacks. This feature would help confirm the fraudulent activities, let others share their experiences and how to avoid it, and to also debunk reported scams if they weren't scams .
Hopefully more platforms line this would help reduce the risks involved with cryptos via scams and hacks. The platform is expected to expand their activities especially the blockchains with a fraudulent activity you can report. You can check out the platform here and give your reports.
